Erie Brewing includes the Birchwood Inn. Erie is beer, Beechwood Inn is Food. They have a bizarre procedure for food. You check in with a hostess to be seated. We had a 20 min wait even though the place was 75%empty so I guess they have a kitchen staff shortage. Once seated a waitress takes drink orders, an Erie transaction with a separate check. For food, you go to a window to order and pay then return to your table. A pager tells you when to go back and pick up your food. Then go to a separate station for utensils and condiments. Interestingly, the person taking the food order expected a tip even though she never left the register! The food was OK. Nothing special. The atmosphere was OK. Lots of merchandise for sale. And everything was tourist pricey. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. The staff trolling for tips was really poor form. Oh, pay attention to the menu. Very poorly written. I included a pic of the fish taco description. You can try to figure out if the standard is perch or Mahi mahi.
Delicious food, wonderful staff, and good size portions!!!
Great food. Friendly service. Amazing happy hour food. Stop in and tell them Dalene sent you. Check out the weekly specials. Something for everyone. Starters, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, burgers and more. You won't be disappointed!
Just to be clear: this is inside the ErieBrewing Company (west side). Two different businesses. If you want food, you order it from the counter-get a pager-and pick it up when ready. The servers are for the drinks. Half off select apps happy hour on Monday. Our burger was wonderful!
Finally tried this place tonight (Tuesday) with some co-workers. I ordered the Buffalo Wonton's as an appetizer and the Ahi Tuna Tacos which was cooked perfectly Medium Rare. My co-workers enjoyed their food as well.
We have been trying to support locally owned restaurants. We were falling for this place since it's so close to our house and business. We went there around noon (Saturday March 27th) and our food was over cooked and it took along time to get it and there really want anyone there. This is the second time out of four times the food hasn't been good . It's like some of the staff and cooks don't care how they sebd the food out.
We went there for lunch on Saturday (March 20th) My burger was over cooked and very small. My cousin got the perch sandwich and there was one piece of perch on it the table that was close to us also ordered the perch sandwich and they had 2 pieces of perch on both of their sandwiches. The young guy that took our order was very polite, friendly and helpful.
This place with EBC is becoming one of our favorite places to grab some great food and drinks we have been there 2 times in the last 4 days. What I really like about this place is they if you show up at the last minute they still let you order food without a fuss we ordered wings, Beer Burger, quesadilla and philly and the food was cooked perfect.
Went there tonight for dinner. Their Weekly Battle of the Burgers is a great idea. But I got their name sake burger (Beechwood) which was cooked perfectly.
I was iffy on ordering a burger there since last time my wife and I went my burger looked like a small hockey puck on a big bun. But last night (Saturday March 13th) when we were there the Garlic Burger caught my eye so I ordered it. The burger was cooked perfectly and the burger filled the whole bun. It was one of the best flavor filled burgers I have had in a while
