This was a fantastic meal, all the way through. Server was very nice, and informative, with great suggestions for food. I don't think there's a bad thing on the menu, we ordered 4 appetizers and 4 entrees, all were fantastic. The short rib was tops, if you see this and respond to me with how you make thar amazing pea shoot salad I will name my first born after this place. My only suggestion was that I wasn't able to taste the wasabi in the guacamole, but it was delicious and paired perfectly with the tuna. Gotta say, I was skeptical getting soft tortillas instead of chips but it is absolutely the right call. Can't say enough nice things, really thoughtful menu, great staff, awesome atmosphere. Will def be back next time I visit home.
Delightful small plate asian place. Definitely a different experience for Erie, PA. Service was excellent and food expertly prepared.A tad on the spendy side for Erie. Expect about $80-$100 with drinks, apps and meals.Worth a visit for sure.
Ramen was really good... Im glad we have this quality available in Erie
Amazinggggg food!! Amazing service!!! We had Alicia as our server and she was absolutely amazing. I have nothing negative to say about our experience!
We went to Bar Ronin for the first time had loved it! Excellent service paired with a stylish interior and amazing food! We enjoyed the Spicy Onion Dip, Lucy Burger and Spicy Ginger Garlic Noodles were fabulous. The Empress Ricky cocktail was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back soon/ thank you!
So disappointed in my first visit to Ronin.I’ve never experienced worse service in my life. When we first arrived we asked the bartender if we could sit in the lounge chairs behind the bar and still drink and eat and they replied very rudely “that’s what they’re there for”. I wish we would’ve left after that. The next incident happened when asking about drinks. We asked if they could make an espresso or chocolate martini and they replied (again very rudely) “no we don’t make those types of drinks here”. Ok that’s perfectly fine, but then they added “we don’t have flavored vodka or anything like that” and repeated “we don’t make those types of drinks here”. (What? Good ones?) We didn’t care if they could or couldn’t or if they were above making them we just asked a simple question and got a rude answer once again lol. They ended up making us a martini with coffee liqueur that wasn’t too bad. (Btw they did have a banana flavored daiquiri). And then another rude answer when we asked about dessert options and they said rudely “they’re on the menu” we looked around because they took the menu earlier (which is obviously fine) and then they gave us one.As for the food, it was pretty good but not something that would make up for the service or bring me back. I will say that the way they prepared tofu was one of the best I’ve had though. But I believe their vegan/vegetarian options are very limited compared to everywhere else. The desserts we had (citrus cream puff and ice cream sandwich) were flavorless and gross.Presentation of the food was also very nice!If I return it would only be for the atmosphere and one noodle/tofu dish (but will avoid the bar ?).
the food was not great. Surely the ambience is what your paying for.Today I ordered the onion dip, iceberg lettuce stir fry, white sweet potato and spicy ginger noodles.Let’s walk through this meal.. the appetizer (onion dip) was very good the only thing in the meal I did enjoy. The lettuce stir fry was just a bowl of soggy lettuce in soy sauce nothing fabulous there… the sweet potato is a very creamy purée the flavor is palatable but, it’s a tiny bowl of.. baby food. Lastly the main course, the noodles. The menu says it comes with crispy fried tofu.. well don’t let that fool you it’s about 1 piece crumbled into tiny bits.. the noodles were so SALTY!! all you could taste was salt, nothing else was present not the ginger not the spice just salt. Which was very disappointing for a $17 dollar dish!I imagined an Asian inspired noodle dish but it was more reminiscent of a stroganoff which was confusing to say the least. Spent $70 dollars on a meal here I did not enjoy, again the ambiance is unique in comparison to other restaurants in the city but, that’s all that makes this special.
Loved everything about this restaurant,! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome menu and delicious food! Can’t wait to visit again!!
Overly priced food that lacks flavor. They were out of the noodles for the dish I wanted, so they substituted with ramen noodles that were over cooked and stuck together. I do like the way the restaurant is presented though. You pay for the atmosphere and drinks. Drinks were pretty good, but the bubble kept popping and made the waiter frustrated. I liked that I didn’t feel rushed out the door, unlike most restaurants back in this little city. Not bad, but be prepared to drop at least fifty a person.
We rented the party room for a birthday dinner. The staff was great and the food was amazing like everyone has been posting since they opened. I should have taken more food pics but we were honestly busy enjoying the food and our company. The main host and manager were very helpful and attentive in my planning and I think they did a great job opening up their menu to a party of 20, staggering appetizers and bringing everyone’s meals around the same time. Well done and we will be back.
