Was disappointed. Food mediocre. Salads dull and boring. Dressings watered down. Crab cakes, boring. Broiled stuffed Haddock, yawn. Fishy and boring. For five meals, $150. Five drinks $50. Price of meals, horrible. For being iconic staple in the community, very disappointing. Boasted fresh fresh fresh definitely not fresh. Would not remove uneaten meal off bill.
You aren’t allowed to send food back . Ordered the fish and didn’t like it . Asked to send it back they won’t take it off the bill and all they could do was recook it . 35$ gone for a horrible entree . Caesar salad dressing so watery and flavorless . Very disappointed.
Was surprised to see a surcharge on the bill for sour cream for the baked potato. Pretty sneaky not to inform the customer at the time of ordering.
Food (Buffalo chicken cheesesteak ' honestly not sure if I even had cheese in it', chicken club wrap, wings, and crab soup - soup was actually really good, only reason I'd go back if someone desired to go there) and the couple martinis we had were average to just above average (price wise) I've paid the same amount, roughly $12/ea., for better and worse. Nothing to write home about. Called Friday to have reservations for Saturday, apparently someone at the establishment messed up and we had to wait well over 30 minutes with a toddler, spoke with a manager and nothing was done to resolve the error on their part. Not even coming over to the table to apologize once again. Kind words go a long way to people who are completely understanding given such trying times. A genuine apology, or a free drink, or even a dessert for the table, go a long way. Otherwise the service, once we got to the table, was average /above average. Would have went 4 stars, being a foodie, and preferring to support local, I find it hard to review places liberally that can't atleast make even the smallest attempt to fix an error on their part.
Went for apps and drinks while waiting for a baseball game to start. We can't wait to go back for a nice dinner. The atmosphere is great. And the apps were amazing.
Fantastic place. Food was great and the interior is a part of history. Had nachos grande and chicken fingers for appetizers. Topped it off with an English burger and my son had chicken wings. Great tavern food with the perfect atmosphere.
Birthday lunch huge success at this sleeper...don't be put off by the outside! It's not large but dominated by the bar and a fabulous walk in fireplace. The food and service was excellent. We enjoyed a their crab soup, salad with pears and a chicken cheese sandwich, with delicious housemade fries! Oh, and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting...everything was yummy.
Great friendly service,great food. Awesome Sherry Crab bisque. Best burgers in the area. Excellent pub, Guinness on tap AND poured correctly. Wife is big fan of their 70+ Martinis.
Every time I come here it’s for their crab soup, but today I decided to try their chili! It was very good. Lots of big chunks of tomatoes and meat along with lots of black beans and some fried tortilla strips. Warmed me up on this cold winter day!
