Shocked by all the 1 to 3 star reviews based on the price of seafood in a landlocked town. Right next door you can pay almost $20 for a bowl of noodles or come here for a lobster roll. Silver Shell gets a 5 from me based on taste and service.Every time we come to the market we are excited for the adventure, and we always get one foot in the door and know we want Silver Shell first! My kids love the experience of being able to sit and watch the chefs cook and prepare the food. The transparency of being able to see your food cooked in front of you in todays world is something special.I love that they use simple and fresh ingredients that don’t overpower the seafood. You won’t find many places around here using dill the way they do. If you want fried food this is also the place for thick, crisp, batter with flaky tender fish inside! Make sure to order extra fries, whoever is with you will ask you to try one, but they won’t stop at one. Promise.
Not your typical seafood shack. Sure it’s served in a basket but the food quality is fine dining level. I’m a super picky foodie and I highly recommend this place.
Ate lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. I had a fried oyster roll and my wife had the fried shrimp roll. We sat at the bar and watched them made fresh in front of us. Tasted great and good quality. Each came with a side of fries which were thin cut and crispy. Also got a side of slaw which was a good portion and pretty good. We enjoyed our meals and look forward to trying other things on the menu.
Food is yummy but just like everything else in here, overpriced. $21 dollars for 1 order of fish and chips. Use to be $18 I thought that was pricey.
Had the the $9 lobster bisque expecting it to be excellent. It looked and tasted like orange colored tomato soup. No sign of lobster essence or otherwise.
Just awesome their fish sandwich is to diet for !!
Bolete is one of our favorite restaurants and we would really like for SSC+K to thrive as well. However, we were visiting nearly weekly spending $70+ each visit on lox and crab cakes to go so we were very surprised when suddenly charged $2.00 for a small portion of remoulade. The clerk was very curt when telling me that it was no longer included. It's not the price that was the issue but her lack of customer service etiquette and her desire to make $2.00 rather than provide a positive customer experience. Most recently, we decided to sit down for a couple of lobster rolls, before purchasing the crab cakes to go. When paying $60.00 for two sandwiches(with tip), one would expect something quite amazing. The lobster 'salad' was quite tasteless and the fries were very salty, hard and oily. The best thing about the meal was the pickled garnish. The rolls were very disappointing and we won't order them again. It was also very awkward to be seated literally a few feet away from the cooks and they never once acknowledged our presence--no greeting, no thanks--nothing. The clerks also seem to lack any customer service training and just seemed to be completely uninterested in their work. They were both on their phones in between assisting customers--not a very sanitary practice. We are big fans of lobster rolls and visit a local restaurant every Sunday solely to have them. The price is 20% less and the roll is overflowing with large chunks of perfectly cooked and seasoned lobster and the fries are delicious. The staff at that restaurant is very engaging and professional--an altogether much more pleasurable experience.
The best seafood in the Valley! We make special trips here for their salmon, oysters and lobster rolls!
A wonderful addition to Easton’s Public Market! Amazing staff and a wonderful selection of seafood. Definitely a must when in town!
First time there… I don’t believe I would go back or recommend this place… crab fries wereHorrible.. everything that I ate had the same test… forThe price I honestly thought it would of been different … BIG disappointment.
