Love their sautéed calamari and their salad.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed!
A taste of the Old World. Great food, alcoholic drinks, decor & vibe. Sugar and salt well are minded. Tolerances on cooking are in tolerable range to qualify fine dine/gourmet/competition. Many rooms, wood lit fires. Good pizza, fresh fish. As close to Italian as you will get in America quite honestly. I've been going here for decades now.
Out and about this first Sunday in May and took time to stop here to dine and relax before heading home. Sunday, Sunday. No not the day of the week reference but the sound of a strong saxophone and great vocal trio caught me by surprise in front of the restaurant. Nothing like dining with a live band. The outdoor tables were all filled and so, we decided to dine indoors with a wonderful waitstaff: Paige, Georgia, Ann and Corey. Collectively they interacted, served, cleared, smiled and made us feel special. The dishwasher and kitchen staff were making their own kind of music with utensils and plates. Special appreciation to BYRON and kitchen crew for presenting two hand-crafted, specialty pizzas that were hot, tasty, and crusted just right. That grilled stuffed artichoke was over the top yummy! Salted just right. I read many reviews and these words are based on my personal experience and dining tastes.
Great food, nice ambiance
We like to go here because the food is good. We were there last night and found the guy at the hostess stand to be very unfriendly which put us off this place - didn’t so much as crack a smile. Older completely gray dude - he really shouldn’t be greeting customers.
Food was delicious. The server, Marhanda, unfortunately, is the reason we won't return. We felt judged, the moment we walked in, because we came in with 4 kids. It was my husband's birthday, and I was told over the phone there was a note that she would bring a dessert and a candle. She never did. My husband also wanted another beer, but she disappeared for a while. She also added gratuity in our check, obviously assuming we weren't going to be good tippers, and she did not tell us about it. We were a party of seven but with two babies. We really only had only had five people eating, but I guess they add gratuity in even with babies at the table. If you visit, request not to have her as your server. Everyone else seemed pleasant...maybe if we do go back, that's what we'll do.
They are poorly run. We tried to do the call ahead seating. Said it was an 8 minute wait. We'll, the place was packed and noisy. There was no way they would seat anyone within an hour. Staff was not pleasant or helpful upon our arrival. We were just cattle waiting! Only go off hours if you want service and a table......don't expect to speak if it's crowded as it is so noisy. They would be better off having a real reservation system.
Enjoyed an outdoor dining experience on this unseasonably warm February day! Everything we ordered was delicious- a lentil and arugula salad, Italian wedding soup, and our pizza margheritas (cappuccino and chocolate mousse pictured). Overall a wonderful culinary experience!
It was a very nice environment. Too many bugs in outdoor seating due to flowers. Food was good but very small portions for the price. A wide variety of wines.
