My husband and I have dined at this establishment several times and the food has always been delicious with great service. Last night’s visit, however, will be the last. There were 7 people in our party. Six received their meals in a timely manner but I had to wait a good twenty minutes for mine. I do not blame the server. Apparently the kitchen missed my order and had to prepare it after everyone else in my party had bern served. The owner eventually apologized but only after accusing us of wanting free food because my husband said he expected my meal to be comped. There are many other excellent restaurants in our area that we will patronize in the future.
My wife and I ate their for the first time on a Thursday evening. Two big parties and a few other tables were present. I felt sorry for the two wait staff that seemed to have too much to handle IMO. Got the garlic bread quickly and they asked if we needed wine opened. The negative stuff; This seems to be one of those places where the regulars do what they want and get treated differently. We had that 'we don't belong here feeling'. I asked if I could have my veal done parmesan style (breaded) for the Marsala dish (sauteed). I gave her Veal Parm as the backup. When she came back she said, I don't want you to get your hopes up, your getting veal parm, he won't do it. I respect that, I know all kitchens have their set up, so not happy, but not the end of the world (Dulce Mama does it for me all the time). Then the old 3% up charge for using a card. Need to tell that to people up front, not when you give them their bill. At least put a sign on your door so you don't look skeevy (maybe there was?). I am not sure that it is even legal if you use a debit card. The good stuff; We had the calamari which was really good and some sausage and broccoli rabe. I had the Veal Parm. It was good, not overwhelming as the Marsala probably would have been. :) My wife got the special which was eggplant on top of chicken done parmesan. One word, superb!! Put that on the menu, it was delicious! I ate most of it for her. Overall, not a horrible experience, the wait staff was nice and the food was decent. Would not go back again due to 'Regulars Club' and the 3% thing. I think it was only 2.50, but shady just the same.
We had a horrible experience with the owner of this restaurant. I hosted a birthday party for 21 people. The price I was quoted should have resulted in a $970 bill. I was charged $1200. The owner (Sal) does not speak English very well so an explanation for the discrepancy was not offered. To make matters worse he became very angry, acted in a very unprofessional manner and embarrassed me in front of my guests.The food is good. The acoustics are terrible. The noise level is off the charts.Avoid this restaurant.If you decide to go avoid Sal !!!!
My husband reserved 6pm spot for mothers day today. We were there for 2 hours. Folks came in after us, being served before us...and still no meal. We were the only black couple there not joined by someone white. We were ignored and finally left. Even as we were trying to get someone's attention to alert them we were leaving, we were still ignored...so we walked out to go somewhere else for my mother's day meal.
Great find ! Family style dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. An old style Mom and Pop Italian restaurant.A definite recommendation and e look forward to going back.
I did it, I finally did it. I found an Italian restaurant that reminds me of home, and I cant believe I haven't gone there sooner. Must have drove past it a thousand times. I had Blackened Salmon with Scallops and Shrimp, absolutely fantastic. They even catered to my wife and server her a meal that wasn't on the menu, Gnocchi with Vodka sauce. And the service was great, Adrianna was the only waitress on, working the entire room and everybody was happy. Fantastic Job. Our new go to.
the food was good, but not the best. i think for the price it should be better. my main concern is the fact that we waited almost an hour and a half for our food. other tables around us were waiting just as long. we had a reservation at 7:30 and ordered right away. we didn’t get our food till a little before 9 and that was closing time anyways. service was good as far as the waitress goes she was sweet and i felt bad because you could tell they were frustrated as well. they said they only had two people cooking, but had a full house. the owners need to staff the place before taking reservations for tables they can’t accommodate in a timely manner.

Negotiation / Compromise was impossible because of his language skills. He became agitated quickly and made a scene in front of my guests. Very unprofessional. Very embarrassing. Avoid this restaurant . Avoid Sal ( owner) like the virus.
We had a reservation for 4 and were looking forward to our dinner…especially since we heard the food was so good. It was a Saturday and they had 2 large parties in the dining room, one was about 20 people and then other was 15. It was so loud you couldn’t hear your own thoughts let alone any conversation at you me table. The larger party was so obnoxious and clearly didn’t care about anyone other than themselves. Before this we were greeted rather abruptly and our menus were thrown in the middle of the table by a blonde woman with glasses. We had wine but at no point did anyone offer to open it or even chill it for us. We didn’t even have a sip of water and decided to take our business elsewhere. The table of 4 next to us left too. Note to management…have a separate room for parties, your guests should be able to enjoy conversation with their dinner!
Great dinner with the family on Sunday evening! Food was hot, flavorful, and super delicious! They are BYOB which helps with the cost of a big dinner. The shrimp scampi was among the best I have ever had.
