Cauliflower tastes like mashed potato. Waitress, and the only waitress, do not remember who ordered what, and can't serve the plate correctly. It took about two hours to get the food. Interesting, if you bring your own cake, they charge you about $2 for each folk/plate, first time seen in US. Worst food/place ever.
First time dining here. This place is amazing: homemade pasta (best pasta I've ever had!), delicious fresh baked bread, nice wine selection, attentive accommodating wait staff---everything you hope for at an Italian restaurant. We'll definitely come back ??
My girlfriend and i went there about a week ago, right away place seemed scetchy. Right away we weren’t greeted until we were inside for 5 minutes, and once we were set in our tables it took about 10 minutes for anyone to to get our waters. After about 20 minutes of waiting someone finally ask us for our order. We finally got our food after 90 minutes of waiting, not being checked one once in between making us feel forgotten about. The food was good, not great, but certainly not enough to make up for the extremely poor customer service.
I’m not one to leave reviews for anything, so this is pretty telling. My friends and I ordered food for takeout from here last night after my one friend mentioned how often she would eat here in the past. The menu looked good and the prices were decent. I ordered our food over the phone and I was barely able to understand the gentleman who answered the phone. I had to repeat the four things we chose to him about 5 or 6 times. He even corrected me about one of the pasta specials I ordered saying that “it’s not a pasta dish” when it was under “pasta specials”. A tad condescending. So we put the order in, we get our food around 45 minutes later, bring it back to my friend’s place. I wanted to cry as soon as I opened my container. My portion size of the Nidi di rondine was barely enough to fill a baby’s cavity. Three very small pieces of pasta for a $16 pasta special? Come on, chief. I also ordered the Gorgonzola cheese plate and was provided with TWO small slivers of cheese and a mountain of shredded carrots. I was so disappointed, and even more so with how delicious the food was. If the service and portion sizing was better, I’d recommend. But I can’t. So I’m sorry.
Had an interesting experience here. Went on a Saturday afternoon with a fairly large group 12 people.Service was very disjointed. The first 10-15 minutes we seemed to have one server who then disappeared for another who ended up repeating most of what was already said by the first server. They provided water to the table and then backed it up with a single carafe for all 12 of us which seemed odd and inefficient. The menu is very limited and definitely not kid friendly. I would not recommend going there with anyone younger than 15.They make their pasta daily, which is nice but it also makes it tough if you're not particularly fond of that days options. We were told by the servers that the pasta can take up to 30 minutes. It literally ended up being about 1:15 minutes. Additionally, the meals came out in 4 separate waves over 20 minutes. This led to a difficult experience because some of the table were eating and others weren't.We got burrata which was tasty and well seasoned. The tomatoes were ripe and delicious. They also had tasty warm rolls to go with it.The pasta was unremarkable. Perhaps it was the service, the wait or just the general experience but it was really underwhelming. For a place that basically only does pasta I was expecting it to be some of the best I ever had...it wasn't. Additionally, most of the table agreed that it was over salted. Those that got the salmon said it was ok/acceptable.Dessert was decent. Again, nothing to really write home about. As an aside. If you have anyone in your party that needs handicap accessible restrooms I wouldn't eat here. The primary bathroom is at the top of the restaurant up many flights of stairs. There is a bathroom on the "main" floor but there's stairs to get there as well. All in all I wouldn't go back. Was it terrible, definitely not. Was it great, definitely not. When you try and specialize to this degree you have to do better than average!
One of the worst dinning experiences of my life. Terrible service, they didn't care about our food or order or anything. Food is super overpriced compared to what it is. Took half an hour to makr smelly fish. So disrespectful of the food.
it was absolutely horrid. Me and my friends had to wait an hour for our food and when we asked when the food would be here the waitress looked annoyed and later complained about us to her employer. When we finally got our food it made me nauseous; the portions were way to small for the amount payed for. When we went to pay the lady was so rude and kept rolling her eyes at us and generally seemed annoyed to be around us. She explained everything little thing to us as if we had no idea what we were doing and automatically put a 20% tip. Which I usually pay 20% but not with this kind of service. The experience was terrible zero out of ten would not recommend
superrrrr rude. forced us to tip + overpriced for the portion size. talked negatively about our table after we had been super polite and didn't ask for much. took advantage of us. food wasn't even that special, could've gotten the same thing for cheaper.
I should have paid attention to the bad reviews- they were 100% correct!! We arrived at 12pm. The place was empty- should have been my first clue. Interior was old & run down. The service was VERY SLOW! The food was just average & overpriced.$16-$17 for a pasta dish- no salads with the meals. Portions from appetizer to deserts were xtremely small. DO NOT GO THERE!!! I sure won't go back!!!
I have been coming to the restaurant since they opened across the street from their current location. This is by far the best Italian restaurant in town. The pasta is freshly made and their preparation of the dishes is unique and delicious. The salads are fresh and served on chilled plates preserving the crispness. We had two desserts that were also amazing! The service was great! ( in regards to the reviews about the “ one piece of bread at a time” if you want bread go to Olive Garden- they give you a whole basket full !)
