Located just off the main bustling streets with its own parking and building, Omiza is very nice inside, a modern space with comfortable tables. Mostly seemed to be managed by younger, diverse and attentive staff who provided great service during our meal. On first impression you might think the restaurant is exclusive and/or expensive judging by the exterior signage and a glance inside but we found it quite reasonable and very welcoming and enjoyable. There is a separate room with holes in the table tops which I assume bwas dedicated to preparing hot pot table side. We arrived just before closing and I believe they were no longer serving in that room. The room is gorgeous with thin brick walls and really nice lighting. I'd LOVE to go back and try this!Outside of that Omiza has quite a large menu including Korean specialties, Sushi and an adult beverage menu. The large, modern Sushi bar looks VERY inviting and almost wish we had chosen to sit there but we ended up ordering from the Korean menu. Some of the Korean options were nice and flexible and offered you the option to pick a sauce and adjust other areas of the meal like noodle type and protein for example. It was quite a bit to look through but everything looked so good.Everything we ordered ranged from quite good to very delicious. Lighting at our table was fine but not so great for taking Instagram photos (it was a bit yellow but warm and calming) but this did not detract from our meal in any way. Plating of our meals was also quite nice and inviting. We would welcome a trip back to Omiza soon and recommend for anyone looking for Korean, Korean BBQ or Sushi.
I’ve been here a few times since they’ve opened, in the past it’s been just ok, didn’t quite feel like they had a handle on the menu. Food was just alright, same with service in the past. This time was a lot different, it was excellent, the food was all prepared perfectly and was absolutely delightful all around, the squid was tender, tofu delightfully crispy and soft, ramen was flavorful with fresh toppings, and curry was wonderfully spiced! And the service was absolutely fantastic!
We love the food and have come for dinner 4 times since opening. We ordered take out last night and two items on our order were missing and of course we didn’t notice until we sat down to eat. SO Frustrating, and I even asked the girl if that was our entire order when she handed me the bag as we had a large ($$) order and it didn’t seem like it could all fit. We called the restaurant and told them that we were not going to drive back to pick them up at this point (parking lot is a nightmare on a Saturday eve) and just wanted a credit. She said mgr would call us back and never did. Seems like a lot of inexperienced people work there.
This place is fantastic!I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience at Omiza! This place is fantastic!I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience. It is in Doylestown and should be a must go for any fan of authentic Korean food. The staff is both knowledgeable and very friendly.I ordered the fried dumplings and rice cakes and they were delicious. Not only were they very tasty, but they also had a nice contrast in texture (fried just enough for the initial crunch). For my main entree, I got the Gopdol Bibimbap. It was one of the bests you plates I have ever had. I cannot wait to go back...Highly recommended!
Slow staff even though they weren’t busy, messed up orders, and rushed us out even though we arrived a bit over an hour before closing.Once the food came out correctly it was very good. Probably wouldn’t go back but the ambiance was nice.
The restaurant was dirty, plates and bowls were chipped. Napkins all over on the floor. Dried up soy sauce dripping all over it’s container. Our waitress while handing us serving plates, “ I’m sorry this one’s dirty!”Served a beer that was shaken and spilled all over the table and had to ask for something to clean it up because our waitress was completely unaware. Our food was inedible. Vegetarian fried rice was soggy, wet with unidentifiable vegetables. If you can’t get that one right you can imagine what the rest of our food was like. Our table was cleaned with the nastiest rag I’ve ever seen with a stench that lingered halfway through our lunch. We paid our bill 100% tipped our waitress well over 20 % and am leaving this review to help out any person who enjoys good food & a clean restaurant .
For $16 they give you 4 tiny strips of chicken and they forgot the rice… Japanese green curry chicken. Looks gross and when we call the restaurant says they’re closed (called at 8:35pm). We ate in too and the service took forever and bartender was yelling at the coworker calling her a snake and terrible server. Also was missing cutlery like a napkin and chopstick and took a long time to fill waters. Needs to work on service and fix issues with take out. Sushi was good though!
I would give zero stars if I could. I understand that places are having trouble with staff recently, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. We were seated at the bar for about 10 minutes before even being acknowledged by the bartender, she hands us menus. We figure out our drinks, 5 minutes goes by, 10 minutes, 15 and then 20. We are passed over for people ordering their second and third rounds, even people walking up to the bar for refills. This was my first experience at this restaurant, and will be my last. Left without any service at all. 0/5
Omiza is a physically beautiful space. Very airy and modern. All of the bowls and silverware were unique. Someone put a lot of thought into this place. The food was way beyond the average asian cuisine. Delightful.
Great food!Awesome lunch specials.Sushi was very fresh.
