This is a hidden gem in Cranberry Twp. My regret is that living in Cranberry Twp. For 45 years we only started to visit this place. The food is the best with a diverse menu with moderate market pricing. The service goes above and beyond. Family atmosphere with the owner working right along with the servers. You will not leave this place hungry! Don't wait as long as we did to get a good meal.
In 42 years, we never went to Marty's Suburban Bar & Grill because we were told it was a "rough" place. One night I was craving a good old fashion beer battered fish sandwich and we could only think of one restaurant in the area that "might" have it. The restaurant is separate from the bar (left door), and though not particularly ascetically appealing, it was clean. One wall is windows to let in the sunlight. The place was packed! And I do mean PACKED! It was Friday fish night, how lucky could we have gotten! Icelandic Beer Battered Cod came with two sides. We both chose a side salad (crispy and loaded with goodies), my husband ordered the baked potato (large which we split) and I ordered Cole slaw (very good, not runny, which we halved). Two pieces of fish the size of saucers was on each plate. There was so much food that we boxed half and ate it for lunch the next day. All of that for $12.95 on a Friday night. Yum! Thinking that might have been a fluke....we returned the next week. Within 30 minutes there was not table open. My husband had the steak salad, topped with about 1/2 cup of bacon crumbles. No wilted greens, all crispy, and the steak was sirloin and much larger than expected. Perfection. Our son had the dusted chicken wings, they are whole so it equates to 24 pieces of flats and drumsticks. He couldn't eat it all, which is VERY rare. I had the Spinach and Feta with 6 large shrimp over Angle Hair pasta. It was laced with buttery garlic olive oil. It was to die for! There was so much on my plate, it would have fed another person. I know this place has had bad reviews, but truthfully for the price and quality of their meals....they are unbelievable. We have only had dinners here, so I cannot evaluate breakfast or lunch. Our only regret is that we never went there sooner! I read a negative comment about the Staff. Sorry, but each time we have gone there, our waitress has been wonderful. Last night, Saturday, she was a real dynamo running from table to table with a smile on her face! There are so many restaurants where we live, I wish we would have dined more with the locals. The old-timers know where there's good food at reasonable prices around town. From now on, we are going to avoid the popular "chain" restaurants and go for made-from-scratch meals.

Well the new help is hurting the business that took a lot to build. The owner is a very hard working and loves to make good food for her customers. We come here a lot and many from my family have worked here. But the new waitress wearing a cowboy hat, has and attitude that will push people that have come here walk out. We arrived to have dinner and there where 3 table with orders in front of us. The waitress was rude from onset , we placed our order for sandwiches a beer and water. After 20 min wait the beer arrives which was wrong , weExplained it was wrong and she popped off at least I brought you one!!She grabbed the beer and took it over to a other table after my boyfriend touched it. Then orders that were place after ours came out. Now we are 1 hour into waiting on sandwiches., we address the timeline and she pops off once again with her attitude say we where out of line because we ask for our check. .
