We usually like Orchards, but I guess all restaurants have a bad night. Our baked potatoes were brown, dry, and it seemed like they were old. My steak was overcooked, and my husband and I never got our second side, which was a vegetable medley. The service was good and I almost sent my steak back, but I am very leary of doing that with any restaurant. I would consider Orchards a fine dining restaurant, but they missed the mark that night.
Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere, and the staff were amazing! Came here for the first time for an anniversary date, and it was beyond perfect. Hope to come again soon!
The staff was very attentive to our needs, the ambiance was great, food was excellent. Certainly one of the best places to eat in this area!!
Mother's day weekend was not handled correctly from a logistics standpoint. Accepted entirely way too many customers with too little staff and what was evidently a kitchen that could not accommodate. Certainly understanding of staffing issues while being empathetic to those who have to work while understaffed, but the management should not have put their employees in that situation nor put guests in a banquet hall given those cicumstances in order to capitalize on profit. Appears as though making money was valued over customer experience. Overbooked and underdelivered on both experience and food. For the price and the reputation I expected more. Will not be returning.
Inspite of reservations, when we arrived it was closed. Poor
Arrived at restaurant for reservation and restaurant was closed. Not a single vehicle in parking lot and no sign of life. No notices posted on building with explanation for closure.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
The restaurant gives a casual atmosphere, making it a great place to eat if youre not looking for something overly fancy. While being casual, the service and ambiance makes you feel as if youâre in a fancy restaurant.
June 21, 2022. I went to dinner with my wife to the Orchards, in Chambersburg. Dusty graciously served us our drinks. He then served the Greek Salads and main entrees.My wife had the Greek Souvlaki (Pork) with Beets and I had the Pan Seared Salmon with Asparagus. Meals included warm bread and sorbet for cleansing the palate after the meal. All was excellent! A very lovely place for a special dinner or lunch.
Was waiting for crab legs to be offered on the menu again. Along with a couple of our friends , we enjoyed a great meal. Servive was excellent. We plan to return.
