My husband and I were in Chambersburg for a week to attend a family reunion. We had one breakfast and one dinner at the diner. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The server was very attentive and the diner is clean. We will eat here again when we come back next June.
The service was great! The food was not so much. Instead of throwing a ton of sub par food at us try actually cooking and serving homemade food. Instant mashed potato and yellow gravy from a food service. This is why you are not busy. Anyone can make instant junk and open a can. What a wasted opportunity to have something special in a busy location. Cooking is not heating up canned or frozen food.
The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is amazing, and the staff is courteous. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Chambersburg. I have yet to find something I didn't like on the menu and I have several allergies that they're more than willing to accommodate. If I could give it more than five stars I would.
I hate to do this to any diner, but this place is not what I'd hoped for. We ordered 4 wraps. They took almost 40 minutes to be served. By then, we had to leave. The server was very nice. I fear her tip was stolen by the girl who was bussing the table.The food: not worth a 40 minute wait. Maybe this was their idea of how tuna salad is made, but it wasn't my style. It wasn't awful, but it didn't need to be whatever it was. It did nothing for it.
Food was amazing, as well as our wonderful waitress. Been there before, will DEFINITELY go back again.
So me and my date checked this place out last night..was very disappointed..she ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich with no lettuce tomato or onion with a side of fries and applesauce...her sandwich came out to her with lettuce tomato and onion..I ordered french toast... sausage gravy and biscuits and home fries...the sausage gravy came from can which is disappointing with no seasoning... after we started eating we realized that she didn't get her applesauce the waitress came out with it and said she was messing around in the kitchen and just happened to see it..if it was already in a bowl and sitting out why would it be ice cold when brought to us..home fries were more burnt than anything
Food is great. But the reason why I’m giving it three stars because ordering to go from this place is non existent. For one no one ever answers the phone. I called 12 times today & the only reason I got through because I called them block. So whenever I do get through someone answers then puts me on hold for five minutes so I hang up because it sounded like the person out the phone in their back pocket. Try calling back line is busy. I ended up going in & having to place an order.
Just excellent. The food was great, service exceptional and everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh. This will be a regular stop on our monthly visits from Virginia!
This is a nice family restaurant. Clean. Atmosphere good.
Amazing place.. very very clean. The staff was incredible, truly. The food was just what you expect. While they call hamburgers.. steakburgers... and still use the frozen Patty's. It wasn't a bad place. Actually I liked to go back.
