Every staff member that we interacted with, was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the chopped sirloin and the honey fried chicken. Both were great! They make all of their sauces in-house, and the ones we tried were delicious!My mother enjoyed her chopped sirloin with a side of steamed broccoli (which was perfectly steamed) and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw had really good flavor, but is a course chop slaw, which is great for on bbq sandwiches (and I totally plan on coming back to try that!) Finely chopped slaw is just easier to eat for my mother.My honey chicken was so yummy, I was almost 1/2 done when I remembered I had some honey bbq sauce to try with it! LOLI loved that it wasn’t encased in a thick layer of guilt-ladened breading. The fine crispy coating was just right ❤️I also had the broccoli and onion rings. I think next time I will ask for the onion rings to be fried just a little lighter; they were almost overdone. Oh- and we had an order of their corn nuggets- also delicious!AND, one more thing, they brought us a couple of freshly baked biscuits with their homemade apple butter.
Had the Chesapeake Burger which was the daily special. Burger and fries were incredible! Burger had crab dip, an onion ring, and was served on a nice Martin potato roll. Fries reminded me of In 'n' Out which is huge. Price point is nice ($9.99 for meal and about a dollar more for refillable sweet tea). Good home cooked quality and nice customer service. Will go back soon.
My son's fried shrimp dinner was good, except the cocktail sauce was gelatinous, frozen. I got the brisket and ribs sampler. The brisket was nicely tender, but too saucy. The ribs were overdone and tough. My husband's turkey dinner was not hot enough and the stuffing was made with soft white bread. Although the food was lacking, the waitresses were very nice and friendly.
Just picked up order. Ordered gravey on meat and extra gravey. GOT NONE! Even on receipt.
Lousy meal. Will not return. Bad food! Do not eat here!Did not offer a refund or discount. Really disappointed. Not the first bad meal here but it will be my last
If you love good home style cooking this is the place. Haven't been here in awhile and forgot how good it was. Love the food ,staff, and cleanliness.
I had a wonderful experience!!!The waitress was super friendly and very Interactive. She went above and beyond. My son who is 2 loved her and even interacted with her, my husband and I were completely surprised, he is a very shy little boy. I can't say enough good things about our waitress, she wore a super hero apron. Thank you for such a wonderful experience my family and I will definitely be back. The food was good as well. It's much more of a home cooked country meal.
Very friendly staff. Great food at a very reasonable price. Staff know the food and provided recommendations. The decor was very nice and clean.
My husband and I stopped here with our daughter today. I never knew this restaurant existed until today, so I thought it would be a nice place to try. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and the service was great. My husband ordered honey fried chicken, I ordered ribs, and we got chocolate chip pancakes for our daughter. There was sooo much food, so next time I will definitely be ordering a smaller meal for me and my daughter. My husband, however, was comfortable with his portion. They also have some things for sale (Amish peanut butter, bbq sauce, candles, country/rustic decorations, etc.). We will definitely be back!
The food isn't the issue, it's actually really good but the service is absolutely terrible. This has nothing to do with the pandemic either, there are plenty of servers they just show zero attentiveness and put no effort into taking care of a paying customer.
