FINALLY!! After moving we’ve been trying to locate a Chinese restaurant that satisfied our needs like our previous place… China House did that and more!!Portions are HUGE! Definitely 2-3 servings per container. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious even after a 30 minute drive home!We like to stick with the basics when trying a new place (General Tso’s, Sesame chicken) just to see how they do, because if you can do those right then we know you’re gonna have other great options! (In our books at least :)Overall, so happy with our entire meal and looking forward to trying more food!
I had the seafood Ramen and my friend had the dragon Phoenix dish.First of the Ramen's soup was robust and packed a refreshing punch. The shrimp and scallops were delicious but the crab left me wanting somthing more. All in all tho it was a wonderfull experience.The Dragon Phoenix dish( general tso's chicken and shrimp with white sauce) was a feast for both your eyes and your tum tum! The chicken was incredibly crunchy and had proud predominant savory and citrus notes. The shrimp was thick and juicy with delicious creamy savory deliciousness in every bite! The vegetables were fresh and added a refreshing aspect to the dish.All in all it's was a KNOCK-OUT!!!
We stopped here on a whim, and we're glad we did! The steamed dumplings are some of the best we've ever eaten, and pairs great with the sauce they make. Every time we go, we try a new dish and have not been disappointed. From the ramen bowls to chicken with broccoli and red curry w/vegetables we have been pleasantly surprised by the complexities of the flavours. This is not just chain buffet Chinese food, it is so much better, even the presentation is given more thought and care. Service is also friendly and kind. It's a smaller place, but it's nice to be able to enjoy Chinese without the buffet atmosphere. A wonderful addition to Chambersburg!
China House, is an extra step up from the usual wok-spots around the area.! As a Chinese food aficionado (having been in China), I love this place! The food is carefully prepared with spices not too hot -- unless you ask for it! Delicate and Flavorful instead of generically gloppy like so many others! I had Kung-pao chicken while my friend had General Tsao--both were delicious!Service is pleasant with side conversation with the server without being obsequious or ignoring you. Menu is standard but well presented on good service and nice flatware. New interior is comfortable, if a bit chilly in winter. Plenty of space between tables.Busy weekday lunches, and carryout good. Service time can be lengthy ye the quality is worth the wait considering what you get faster elsewhere!China House is now on favorite Wok Spot (except for buffet!).
General Tso's chicken was delicious! Fried rice & egg roll was also very good! Food was very hot & freshly made. Highly recommend!
Absolutely the best Chinese food I’ve had in the area, actually trumps most I’ve had altogether. Fantastic service is the “icing on the cake”!!

I have ordered food from here maybe 10 or more times and it is terrific. I love the fried rice and General Tso's chicken.
