This Bob Evans was clean and pleasant to eat at for our impromptu breakfast outing. We had 11 people and did not have to wait long at all to be seated. Staff was courteous and prompt with our requests. All of our food was fresh, tasty and as ordered. Everything seemed very clean and tidy. Women's restroom was clean. This was a great experience for our group at this restaurant.
The food was ok. They were out of the potato chunks so had to get regular hasbrowns. My grandmother got the everything breakfast bowl and it looked nothing like the picture and it was very watery. Waitress was very friendly.
First tried in Florida and we fell in love. Definitely one of our family favorites... oh plus we realized we been buying their mashed potatoes for years from the grocery store.. always good..
Went for waffles they no longer sell them, the biscuit balls in cinnamon sugar were amazing but they charge extra for more sauce. Alot of food for what you pay.
Just a negative experience. We walked in to staff bickering over tables. Was told decaf was not brewed yet. They had been open for 45 minutes. Waitress was abrupt and not very good with people.
Probably only an understaffing issue. We ordered takeout for breakfast and the order got misplaced. I waited 30 minutes in store for our order to be made/found. I raced home because I was starving at this point and my husband and my meals were fairly cool. The kids' meals were nice and hot though. We were given the wrong sides, but that didn't bother us too much. The whole experience was disappointing but I believe that stems from being understaffed.
Went here for dinner one night with my family and it had to be the worst dining experience that I ever had. We waited to be seated. Then we waited to order. I ordered the pot roast dinner. The waitress brings out my order after what seemed like an hour plus and it was a bowl of mashed potatoes garnished with like three tiny piece of beef. Other items that were supposed to be with the meal never came. The waitress was harder to find than a ghost and should up long after everyone finished and by that time I just wanted to leave. I’m not a complainer and don’t like to make a scene. I’m just not that guy, but it was really the worst experience eating out that I ever had. Sadly the other places around Chambersburg are not much better. If I could give zero stars I would.
The service was pretty bad. I understand things will be slow given staffing issues. But, when I have to flag down a different waitress to get refills for my drink because we haven't seen our waitress since they took our order, that's just unacceptable. Our waitress had one other table, so it's not like they were terribly busy. Also, the pancakes were like cardboard. Maybe next time, a little less pan and a little more cake.
I want to start the review by saying I normally won't waste my time writing a review and this is the first Bob Evans I've ever been to.I made a pick up order online since I was staying at the hotel behind the restaurant. There's not alot to review other than, I'm 98% positive thats the worst meal I think I've ever paid for. ALL the food was cold, fries were so over cooked my dog had a hard time chewing it.If you decide to eat here, leave your expectations outside.
I stood there with my family for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Once we were seated, our waitress was great and the food was as expected. Overall, I'd say it was adequate but not a place I will frequent. The honey chicken was pretty yummy, though, and I don't usually like sweet things for dinner.
