Oh…my….gosh! Becky…look at those biscuits!! I am a biscuit expert and the biscuits here are truly the best I have ever eaten. All the food was amazing and the best tea I’ve had in ages. Peanut butter pie for dessert was scrumptious. The heck with the chains…do yourself a favor and eat here. Our waitress was so nice. Wish I lived closer to eat here all the time.
Atmosphere reminiscent of a uncommercialized, cracker barrel. Servers friendly and attentive. Fellow patrons also friendly. Seems to be where locals go. Food was unbelievable! Kicking myself for not going here earlier! Had the crab Mac which was next level… Low cost! Meal for too people that we could not finish, took leftovers home $37! For the amount of food we got we initially thought the incorrectly calculated bill.

I ordered food to go while we were staying next door at the hotel.. Jennifer took my order she was great and everything was exactly how I ordered it!! The food was amazing and generous portions! When I picked up my order the inside of the restaurant was so cute and welcoming and had the cutest country decor and homemade goodies for sale definitely recommend them! Thankyou hickory ridge
I could eat this food for the rest of my life. They catered my moms wedding this past weekend. Everyone loved it. The food is still good, microwaved, 3 days later. I could drown in the Mac and cheese and their garlic chicken has ruined all other garlic chickens for me. Super tender, juicy, and well flavored/seasoned. I can’t imagine having the food fresh in the restaurant. I don’t think I could handle it. 10/10 would recommend. Please send more apple butter.
We had our first experience with them yesterday at a wedding they catered. Everything was amazing. The beef brisket, veggies, Mac & cheese, grilled chicken, buns and apple butter. So good that we just visited their restaurant tonight for some more yummy food. The roast turkey was just like Thanksgiving dinner. Amazing and moist and my husband loved the pulled pork. They also have Gluten Free menu options. We don't go to Carlisle much but we will definitely be back for Hickory Ridge!!
Stopped here on our road trip and had a delicious home cooked meal and cold refreshing sweet tea. Waitress was very friendly and the service was impressive. Stopped here again on our way back home and had the fried chicken. By far hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had!. I am not one to be bothered writing reviews but, this chicken was incredible. Same great customer service. We will keep this restaurant in our book of places to stop.
I came to eat away a bad mood, and take home leftovers. I ordered a BBQ sampler and it didn't all fit on one plate. Mission accomplished. The meatloaf is especially good.
Went recently and was not at all impressed, ordered the 3 meat sampler and the ribs were so so and that's the best I can do. The "brisket" was not in any way shape or form brisket, seemed like it was stew meat slathered in BBQ and the Texas Meatloaf sucked. Asked for my fries well done and they came out under-cooked and lukewarm at best.My wife had a half rack of ribs she was not impressed either, her fries where just as warm as mine. I was generous in giving them two stars.
We stopped here on a Sunday for dinner while visiting Carlisle. Very easy to find off I-81. My husband really enjoyed his hot turkey sandwich and I had grilled chicken breasts. Everything was tasty and very fresh. The coleslaw was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly. Will definitely return.
