If I had to sum up my experience, in a single word...delightful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the ambiance peaceful and relaxed, the food and coffee, absolutely delicious!! If they have it, I highly recommend the lavender and honey cheesecake.
Sweet crepes are perfection, I'd love to see a sauce added to the savory crepes. By their nature they just come out a little more dry. I'd put a light drizzle of cheesy or garlicky bechamel on there. Coffee was great too. I'll definitely be back we liked this spot a lot
My parents LOVE patronizing this restaurant each time they visit me in Carlisle. They don’t have any Vegan options, sadly, so I haven’t been able to taste anything. But, my folks really enjoy it and I love seeing them so happy ?
Oh my goodness. This place is awesome! Smoked salmon, fresh spinach crepes with will butter. Need I say more? It was delicious. Loved the college town atmosphere. It was really busy but it didn't feel like it. They made you feel like the most important customer in the place. Quick service. Hot food. Great dessert. We will most definately be back.
I love getting their macaroons and hot chocolate. Their other items are also great. They can be a tad on the expensive side but I would say it is worth ot for the quality of their food.
One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I'm not the kind of guy to complain. I've never written a negative review in my life, but this place deserves one star. I've had some crepes in my time, and let me tell you, I don't know how a place that specializes in crepes could mess up so badly. My wife and I got the egg and gruyere crepe. We waited quite a while before someone brought our drinks, but places are short staffed so that's no big deal. However, once the food came out, I couldn't believe what we got. Imagine that someone smashed a single well done fried egg between two pieces of cardboard. That's what this crepe tasted like. Barely any egg, no cheese (even though it's supposed to be on there), no flavor. Nothing. And to make matters worse, the crepe itself was dry, grainy and bitter tasting. By far the worst I've ever had. Really quite mind blowing how they messed that up so badly. I looked at other reviews, and although somehow most are positive, we found quite a few people that had similar experiences, so it doesn't seem to be a fluke. On top of the food being terrible, the place has all the personality and charm of a high school cafeteria. Avoid this place.
Delicious crepes and cheesecake and great service! John in particular treated every patron as a friend and made us feel welcome.
What a lovely spot! I'm visiting family in town, decided to stop by with my sister for crepes and tea and ended up staying for their tasty fall soup. Wonderful staff and service, would love to come again next time I'm in town.

Helena’s has excellent crepes, baked goods, coffee and much more. They also have outdoor seating if you have a dog. Sometimes it can get busy, but it’s worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
