Wish that vegetables were offered as a side selection. Even a salad was served with fries. I did ask what the sides were because they were not listed on the menu. As our waiter, Ivan, was listing the sides I kept waiting for a vegetable. Finally said green beans, but I did ask about broccoli and that was a no. Asked if I could substitute the fries for the green beans. It was only Ivan's 3rd night so he did have to ask. It was done, and it wasn't with an up charge, which I was afraid was going to happen. My dad had the meatballs with the linguine and tomato sauce. I asked him if he needed parmesan cheese and he said no, but was surprised that it wasn't offered. Meatballs were huge and he seemed to enjoy his meal. For his side he had a salad. It was big and fresh.Overall, we were pleased with our meals. I would like to see more vegetables offered as a side. Our waiter, Ivan, was very friendly and helpful. I wish him luck.
I was with a group of 11 people. The food was delicious. Our waiter Adam was very helpful & was patient with our group even when some of us changed seats. A minor error was fixed graciously. Lynda was very attentive to our group. She even took photos of us outside the restaurant. Very pleased.
Had a lovely dinner at Rachel's this evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our server Felicity was cheerful, helpful, and appropriately attentive. I had basil salmon, which is grilled and/or baked and served with sauteed zucchini, yellow squash, and red onion. The salmon was pretty much perfectly cooked. My dad had the salmon salad, which is essentially the same salmon served over greens instead of squash. He said it was very good. I ordered a beer I didn't know, and Felicity asked if I'd like to try it first, to which I agreed, and good thing as it was not to my liking. So bonus points to her! It was a Thursday night so it was reasonably quiet.
The food here was pretty marginal. The bread and salad was good, but the ribs I ordered were pretty terrible (I strongly disliked the barbecue sauce). The cornbread looked promising, but it had a strange smell to it.The service was good. I'll be back, but I think I'll stick to sandwiches.
If you're looking for a place that serves food. This is your place. If you're looking to get waited on for a drink order or are there with any more than 4 people, expect a long wait and a grumpy staff. They do no accommodate for semi large groups well. I understand these Covid times are difficult but your job is to wait on people, if you don't want to wait on people, I think you need to find a different career choice. As a heads-up, this place does serve complementary bread but I've been told a few different times that I've been there that you have to ask for it. They will not mention it on their own, at least not during my visits there. I've been to Rachel's less than 10 times but I will do what I can to not return again. My last visit was just the last straw for me. It will be at no loss to them though because it seemed the only people they treated well were their regulars. I'll just passively take my business elsewhere.
Great place. Menu is interesting and satisfying. Service is not just great but enjoyable to talk with. Go. Enjoy. If you get something you don't like and it's fixed right. Don't be ignorant. Eat what's on your plate. The chef knows the kitchen.
Bradley was the best waiter!!! He took great care of us!! the fish cakes were amazing....the pretzels and chocolate and Carmel...a MUST have!!! It's two hours away from me....but I can't wait to make a trip out here again!
Had the Cajun pasta with shrimp, wife had steak salad and an spinach and artichoke dip. Everything was very good. Portions big and waitress was superb ?
We were there for a financial seminar and every one at our table got served cold food. They actually had it sitting waiting on 1 server to pass out. We got to go boxes and heated it up at home. It was good in fairness but a poor execution of getting our dinners out and served hot has me leary of going back when they are busy.
The food was delicious, and the server was prompt and friendly. My only complaint is that the seating is very uncomfortable. It's like their benches are designed to have you eat and get out as quickly as possible.
