I had take out from Kumo last night and can say this was the best Japanese cuisine I’ve had, and that is comparing my take out meal to any sit down.I got the beef box that came with several items all neatly prepared and absolutely delicious. The tempura was crispy with no sogginess. The Shumai was bursting with flavor. The beef was oh so tender and went great with the onions. The California roll was as good as they can be. Oh and the honey dew boba tea was fantastic.For one of the more expensive meals, at no point did I feel cheated, or that more food should’ve been included. I will be going back. I feel bad for anyone missing the opportunity to eat here.
Would give it a 5 for quality and taste. Grub Hub and Door Dash are a pita, as they are expensive on top of what you are already paying. Wish they had their own delivery. And just as a suggestion, it would be great if they marked what you ordered so you don't have to decipher it from the menu when you go to eat it. Otherwise, a great place for sushi.
NEVER been more satisfied by a sushi dinner!!! Wasabi had the perfect kick! All of the fish was at just the right age. Every ingredient shined beautifully! Squid was done wonderfully with just the right heat to match the sweetness of the soy...can't say enough good things! We ordered through Grubhub...and when I looked its right by my house! This will be a regular from now on..
Discovered Kumo during COVID and NO SUSHI has compared. LOVE their spicy tuna and spice crab rolls! THE BEST!
I’m from out of town and was craving sushi. I tried this restaurant based on their menu, which is not only diverse but vast as well. I was absolutely not disappointed. I made my own poke bowl, had a roll, boba tea and some mochi…everything was phenomenal and so tasty. It was all fresh and packaged well (I ordered pickup).My only regret is that I don’t live close enough to eat here regularly. I’d highly recommend if you’re craving good, quality food.
EXTREMELY OVERPRICED :( the fish tasted off, wasabi had no kick, tempura tatsted inauthentic... for better and more authentic sushi i would recommend KOME... or for better value, Lily's suchi in whitehall. plus apparently kumo means spider in japanese and i dont want spiders in my sushi. please follow me for more local guide reviews
Tempura was overly doughy and the ginger tasted really bad, the miso soup tasted really bad, the sushi and sashimi tasted ok just slightly off. Hoping I don’t get sick. Will post tomorrow if I do…
We had maki take out. The fish was fresh & delicious! We both had salmon rolls. But one order had almost twice as much fish. Another pet peeve, the end cuts of the raw fish rolls were 3/4's empty. (just rice no fish) In a 3 roll order they save almost a full roll worth of fish.This was our first time there so I don't know if these things happen all the time.
Unfortunately my sushi was oddly very warm. The salmon did not even taste like salmon; nor did any of the seafood. The sushi was almost mushy too =\
