As far as buffets go this one is a step up from most. This isn't gourmet eating, but you knew that going in. The salad bar is a little sparse on actual salad items but the other offerings are plentiful. A good pick if you need to please a variety of eaters or if you don't want to wait for everyone to order and then wait for food. (Like if you have kids. See a lot of families with kids eating here but it doesn't have a loud kid's restaurant vibe.) Not a ton of vegetarian/vegan options, but even those folks could find enough to fill up. Lots of dessert choices. At the back of the restaurant there's a build-your-own stir fry station. Service has always been friendly. Almost always eat here when I'm in the area visiting family. (But be aware that there's a price jump on holidays. Weekdays are the most economical.)
I moved out of the area and haven't been here in over a decade. The food is still decent and the staff is still attentive and friendly. The place is clean, if a bit delapidated. Decades of chairs have left the wooden wall veneer worn through. The sushi bar had rolls but was a weak showing compared to my memories. The fish pond is still there and full of fish, maybe the same ones but grown large. My family enjoyed the wide variety, and especially the fresh fruit assortment. We had a really good time. I'll go back.
I've been here a lot over the years and haven't had issues until the last few months. Food is good, not great anymore. Today specifically, the water was disgusting and the hibachi in the back was not cleaned since yesterday. I was the first one back there today and it was clearly not even touched since yesterday. After noticing that, I looked further at cleanliness and the place is just disgusting now. Very often, the floor is very slippery. I've slipped and I've seen many other people slip and slide on the floors. In summary: service is great, food is decent, cleanliness is poor. It's only a matter of time until I get sick from eating there so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead.
So I travel about 30min to eat at this buffet. And that's because this buffet is worth the drive. Other buffets I've tried out in the area foods just don't cut it. But this establishment does provide a great selection of varieties and the food is usually fresh. You can tell by the smell and taste.
Good selection of dishes. A lot of different shrimp and of course chicken. Love the hibachi! Service was excellent. They have small crabs, but no nutcrackers to open them. Love the fried dumplings. A lot of different sushi. Will be going back!
We go about once a month I would say. Every time we’ve been here the food has been plentiful and still hot on my plate. It’s delicious. We live in Allentown area and no Chinese buffets compare to this one. We will continue to travel the 25 minutes for our fav foods we can’t get elsewhere!
The best way to describe the food is "Bland". It lacked flavor and taste. I know good Chinese food and it was hard to find at this buffet. They sported a wide variety of items, but it was the same story with most every item. For the cost of $60 for a party of 3, I wished we would have moved on to another restaurant. Unlikely that I'll go back.
Dry food. Lukewarm. The mozzarella sticks were filled but not even remotely stretchy, the fried chicken literally stabbed our throats. The general tsos was super sweet for no reason. The beef patty was floury, with no crunch at all. Ribs tasted extremely weird and fake. The other place is way better. The best thing here is the water, so be warned. White people who don’t use seasoning are the ones giving these great reviews. They aren’t trustworthy. Not worth the trip or money. Gave this place an honest try, everyone said it was good. It was far from good. 5/10 experience.
We went there for lunch. The 3 food choices I made...pepper steak...sweet and sour chicken...and egg roll were not hot at all. We told owner instead of apologizing she went on to say she just ate same items and they were fine. First of all you don't argue with a customer.. And she went on to say no one else complained...i said I don't care maybe they didn't care but I like to eat hot food. Never will go again...
it was overall good just not great it is cheap and the service is fast and very friend but some of the food was either overcooked or cold when you go up to the buffet.The plates an silverware had spot aswell could be from harder water but was noted the food tasted good . also note i came in an hour to an hour and a half before they closed
