Honestly not a great experience. Our server barely acknowledged us and I was charged for drinks I never even got because they sat there long enough that I asked for the bill and paid before we got them (upon paying the server said "oh yeah.. They're sitting over there.") I understand that sometimes people have bad days bit we were a respectful group of people willing to drink and spend money in a place that wasn't crowded and we still didn't get good service.
Food took over 2 hours to come to our table. Multiple tables who sat down an hour after us got their food, ate and left before we received our food. Once we finallygot the food the fish and chips was inedible. The batter was tasteless and falling off the fish. And the fish itself was so horribly overcooked and mushy it disintegrated in my mouth. It was definitely frozen fish that was near freezer burned. The staff was nice but both the servers and managers offered nothing but an apology to compensate for the negative experience.
We came in for an early Sunday lunch. The table ordered the hamburger loaded and the gnocchi and chicken. Our server was friendly and made an outstanding old fashion. The burger was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The gnocchi and chicken was amazing. Honestly, the most tender and juicy chicken I ever had. The chef, Axel, was nice enough to tell us what he does to make the chicken so tender and juicy. The gnocchi was in a sherry gravy that was so delicious.I live in Philly. 21 Crafthouse is worth the drive.
Food was great before the pandemic. I went back recently and was totally disappointed. The won-ton nachos are no longer on the menu because the new cook doesn't want to cook them. Our meal consisted of fried calamari which were chewy because they were over cooked. My pulled pork tacos were on corn tacos that were not cooked or charred and made will dried pull pork. Taste like cornmeal and lettuce. The one star is for great waitress service.
Had to wait 20 minutes to get seated with visibly open tables, and another 15 minutes to even place an order. Drink selection was alright, food left something to be desired. If you're in the area and in the mood for comfort food and good beer, drive the extra mile or so and go to Fegleys on Main Street.
GREAT place to enjoy a GOOD meal,GREAT Customer service and a GREAT time!!! Just go there once and I'll guarantee you you'll go back again!!! Bartenders are excellent!!
These guys are great. Awesome service and fantastic food.Right before the pandemic they renovated and really gorgeous. The biggest reason for 5 stars and why I keep coming back? They took feedback seriously when I didn't like the taste of their brisket one night. It simply tasted different and I didn't like it. They took it personal in the best way. They asked great questions to talk about the taste while preparing a new dish for me.The whole interaction with the owner felt genuine and beyond the food talk, we simply had a great conversation.
We enjoyed the atmosphere along with a great selection of cold beers. Water was given before asking (excellent). The food was very good she got the Kilbasa with sauerkraut and I got the burger. We can't wait to try other dishes. Not bad for a Thursday.
Always great food with rotating specials (pictured is a Cuban Panini). Craft beer selection well above average
This place is great! Love the atmosphere, open concept is so nice. Service was nice, the beer list is decent. My husband got the KFC (Korean fried chicken) sandwich and mac n cheese. He loved it! I got the shrimp quesadillas and it was yummy too. We will be back for sure.
