The lady in the front is not at all qualified to work in any kind of customer service. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE WOMAN. Wearing open toe shoes is a health code violation. If she was just managing the front and not going in the kitchen and serving food it might be ok. We order uttapam and dosa and 15 minutes later she came back and said in Gujarati “South Indian nai male” (translation: oh you won’t get that) then she came back and said we can do dosa but not the uttapam. so we said Vada Pav and she said with the same attitude you won’t get that. Like who talks like that.Food quality: Pav bhaji and Pulav were top notch. Absolutely delicious. Our dosa came but she never brought us sambhar or chutney and we had to ask 3 times. By the time we got it our dosa was cold and chewy.Chaats could be better. Also dahi puri is supposed to have 8 puri per honest standards, we only got 7.
Awesome ! Awesome ! Awesome !I went to Honest in Bensalem with my husband and teenage son. I had heard a lot of good reviews from friends and family. Hence my expectations were really high. To my surprise they totally lived up to what I had heard about them. Firstly, the people there were extremely friendly and smiling. The dishes that we ordered kept coming one by one as and when they were getting ready, hence maintaining their freshness and crispness. This was really great. The Pao Bhaji was to die for… . Totally authentic… like have in Mumbai…. Bombay grilled sandwiches were amazing and Dahi Sev Puri was just too good. Will surely visit them again soon and try more menu items. Lots of variety . Thanks so much
That weird aunty automatically assumes that every other Indian must be Gujarati and starts blabbering in gujarati. The quality has gone down tremendously and Honest Bensalem is nothing like the one in Edison.
After hearing good reviews my friends and I went to this place and we ordered gobi Manchurian, fried rice, vada pav and pav bhaji. Very bad service, we ordered mango lassi which we never got. The fried rice was more sweet because of a lot of ketchup and the bhaji had no butter, the pav was not fresh and lastly vada pav the worst the vada had such a thick layer of basin around it. Not sure because it was night time we went or because the cook was changed.
Excellent Indian street style food. From chats to parathas, Pav bhajis to Masala Sandwitch, they have a wide variety of items on the menu.Service is fast and quality of food is great. Pricing is reasonable and one of the best picks in the area.We love this place a highly recommend it!
Amazing food! Just went to get some samosas and falooda, both came out amazing. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Employee was very friend with amazing customer service!
Foods good 4/5 , service is horrible 1/5. How we get seated and people that came 10minutes after us gets to order before us. Waited for the food forever! She looks at us and completely ignores us like we not even here!
The food quality was very low. Too oily, Super spicy. Didn’t even give the right order. Will never order from this place again
The experience was pathetic when we went for dinner last night. We were waiting for someone to come and let us know which table to sit and after few minutes a lady who looked grumpy as if she just woke up asked us to take a table. Then another ten minutes for the same lady to come and take an order from us. Looked like she was the only person taking orders across all tables. When our turn came and I asked her for the Punjabi Thali they advertised she said it's not available and asked me to order something else. Ordered a Poori and Channa. The Poori that came was super cold as if it was taken out of a fridge. When I told her this she said it is because they have only one cook who was between orders and this might have got cold. I told her to get a new one and she came back with a new one after ten minutes. The channa masala was super spicy as well with so many green chillies...very bad experience
This place is a hidden gem. I definitely would research the menu before heading over again..... there are so many great options, but the menu was a little tough to use. I felt that if we did some research prior, we would have ordered more items and had more leftovers. The restaurant had no eat-in customers, but the phone rang for other orders during our dinner. The restaurant was a bit chilly at first. I listen hard to our waitress and tried to communicate our choices which worked out pretty well. The Naan was phenomenal; stuffed and garlic. The Chana Masala was spot on and the spinach dish was really good. We are used to meat options but didn't miss them at all.The restaurant was clean. The staff was informative, patient, and quick. Parking was plentiful and the lot was clean. We will come again!
