I love everything about this place that is fear the small corner sitting the small bar and all the staff was very great and very welcoming when I came in. Actually got to meet mama as I tried to run her down to make me AA basil pesto pizza but she wasn't having it. Though I decided to get a whole pie of the Margarita which was never disappointed because that was one h*** of a pizza. So much that I liked it that I half the pie which is very rare it's very rare for me but the quality in the pizza was great the sauce was original and the extra Bezos he threw on for me with the mozzarella was amazing. And if you like beer they have a lot of sorts of different kind domestic and imported and man I love the tap and the man at the bar is the best give everything you need fast service never leave you hanging what a great place to visit what a great place to eat what a great place to eat would a great place to spend a time for dinner and especially with family
I ordered a large pepperoni pizza. Right now I have the worst indigestion of my life! If I survive I’m never eating here again! I’m leaving this review incase I don’t make it! (x_x)
My husband and I went here for the first time tonight. Now we are both from NY and he’s 100% Italian. We know good Italian food when we have it. We’ve been trying to find a good Italian restaurant for almost 3 years since moving to PA. Mama Randazzo’s did not disappoint. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and I had the manicotti with chicken cutlet. Portions were very generous, (the side salad was a meal in itself), and the sauce had great flavor and was not watery. We will definitely be back when we’re in Altoona.
Pizza’s okay, but getting toppings skyrockets the price — No specialty pizzas like supreme or meat lovers, but BUFF¬ALO CHICKEN, WHITE, MARGARITA, HONEY BBQ CHICKEN.Cheese steak sub’s okay — The waitress asked “Would like to add a house dressing?” W/O saying it’s $1.50 more & was mostly oil with season that didn’t mix. They have ranch but was never offered – WHY? I complained about the surprise dressing surcharge & waitress didn’t apologize but got an attitude, other staff apologized. Waitress said “…but next time we’ll have charge you”. Earlier asked for a water which she put at the end of the table with a thunk & kept walking.The nice pasta meals seem to be the best offer, and side salad was only $2.50 (but a dressing is $1.50?). BTW Online Menu: “Add A Side Of Dressing To Any Sub For 1.25”.A very nice sit in area, parking across the street & behind. I have to be honest; like to give a better ★ ★ ★ rating but folks need know true opinions. Nice atmosphere, some meals are very good, it’s your call to figure out what you want. Wasn’t entirely impressed, no plans to patronize soon, but pasta would be the pick. Had better subs & pizza elsewhere.
When you are in Altoona and are looking for Italian food that isn’t going to break the bank, visit here! They have the best meatballs that a restaurant around here us going to make, at an affordable price. I have used them for Uber Eats, and call-in pick up orders- the food still tastes as good as if you are in the restaurant and order it there!
The staff is nice to everyone. The food is great but its a tad expensive though but thats OK, its worth it. I will be coming back.
Paul and his staff just prepared all the food for my daughters baby shower. The food was excellent and everyone at Mama’s went out of their way to ensure that we were taken care of. We had many compliments on the food throughout the party. On what was a very busy day from start to finish, it was great to know that the food was one thing we didn’t have to worry about. If you’re thinking about having an event that you need catered, give Mama’s a shot, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks again to everyone at Mama Randazzo’s. You and your staff rock!!
first time ordering today. I got a cheese and pepperoni pizza and a chef salad. Both are huge and are soooo good. If everything else is as good as this is I will be a frequent customer
