We were craving a simple steak dinner after a long crosscountry haul, stumbled upon this place and we were delighted with the meal - a good 8 oz steak cooked medium to perfection with sides of garlic butter enrobed mushrooms, Caesar salad and baked potato. Utterly, simply superb. We'll be back and will be sure to sample the salad and dessert bar next time.
Wasn't that great. No bread out. Had to ask. Soup ok. Lukewarm. Peanut butter desert was awful.
Hoss's needs to make a come back! There are none near my house south of Pittsburgh any longer. Found this one looking for a place to eat before an Altoona Curve game. Had a great meal and love the salad bar!
The service is always excellent. My husband and I were a bit surprised at the prices and I think there has been a slip in the quality of the soup and salad bar. At this point with supply chain and staffing issues I am going to say I hope that this is a one off experience because they have always been the best place for food and service.
All the salad dressing and tartar sauce tasted like they were watered down a little to much. The food was okay but it took forever to get our meals. About what I expected.
We rolled in as a party of 6 with kids to the buffet twenty minutes before closing and they were so patient and accommodating. They never made us feel rushed and,in fact told us to take our time. The staff were so sweet as our 5 year old took forever to finish her ice cream. The experience made me miss having a Hoss's closer to home. Great waitress and manager. Food was better than I expected too. Having all of the soup options out at 9 at night made my day. Thanks for making a road trip that was off to a rough start so much better.
Everything was delicious. I anticipated getting some hot bacon dressing from the salad bar but your location didn't have it. ?
Chicken we had was dry. .salad bar had only one good thing broccoli salad. And 54 bucks.way to much
Ordered two steaks medium well and the came red in the middle and burnt on the outside. They were aweful! I use to love going here now its just aweful
Always a good place to eat. Love the salad bar. Soup is great too.
