We were at the Hampton Inn for an overnight ghost hunt at Cresson State. We figured we would walk across the parking lot for dinner, since we had just driven 2 hours. We arrived ~6 pm on a Saturday, and were seated immediately in the bar area, as we didn't want to sit outside in the heat. We looked at the menus for a moment, and our server appeared to ask us for our drink orders...we both ordered unsweetened iced teas, which seemed to disappoint her. She walked away without asking if we wanted an appetizer, so we decided we wouldn't worry about that and order dessert instead. We both decided on the chicken parmesan dinner with salads. The bread slices that were brought to the table were good. The salads were good, but the pasta that was mixed in was a bit different. Our dinners arrived, and they looked really good. The edges were a bit overdone, but the chicken was pretty good. The rigatoni side dish was good. The red sauce for dipping was good. They provided a small dish of parmesan for sprinkling. Our server checked in on us several times during dinner. We were ~2/3 done, and she delivered the check, without asking if we were interested in dessert...my husband would have ordered the cheesecake, but he figured if the check was already there, he would just not bother. So, my point is...based on our server's behavior...this restaurant lost out on an appetizer order...and a dessert order...probably at least another $20-25. If/when we return to this hotel, we would probably try another restaurant.
Food quality has gone from great to gross. Especially the wings. They are double cooked or something, but nasty.
Last night, My family and I, decided to come to Champs for dinner. For a Saturday night, they weren’t as busy and we were seated rather quickly. We had asked if we could be upstairs and the gentleman didn’t answer me, but nodded his head in approval. Nonetheless we were taken to our table. Our server Melissa was a hoot and very entertaining. Our daughter is autistic and doesn’t care for others so much, but she took a liking to Melissa rather quickly. She made several suggestions, some of which we ordered, and we weren’t disappointed! Their nachos are outstanding! She definitely knows what she’s talking about, and you can tell that making customers happy, is her main priority. She is a huge asset to your restaurant and deserves much kudos. We will definitely be back soon!
The atmosphere was cool. And the service was excellent! However, the chili was some what watery and bland.
Beer was cold. Service was good. Food was very bad. Wings were rubbery. Nachos were soggy. Perogies we're raw. Fine place to drink a beer and watch the game. But that's all it's good for.
The food is incredible. Every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavour. I’ve had the blackened chicken rigatoni and the bison burger, and would happily order each one again. The blackened chicken in particular is excellent.
We opted for takeout for this trip. The onion soup had so much sodium in it I had to add water to even eat it, but it was still so salty. My husband pizza (sausage and onion) was also very salty, but my sons Margherita pizza was ok, otherwise I would have given this a 2 rating. Won’t be going here next trip.
Great place, it wasn’t too crowded. Bartender was nice and food was okay for a sports bar.
We have eaten there several times. Everything has been delicious!
The best food in this area. Hands down. The best steak in this area as well. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.
