This is a pretty good bar I would say it's more like a country bar with a little bit of modernness to it but definitely an old fashioned bar where people drink beer listen to good old country music or old rock which is pretty dumb I think. They have about 3 bartenders there so there's not much waiting around for drinks these girls are really fast and really good at their job very nice very great customer service I really enjoyed the girls out there to the great job. This board does have gambling machines there about 7 altogether and the board does have a pool table also if you like to play pool. They have 2 separate bathrooms one stall only for men and women and it is handicap accessible. Also there if I remember they do serve food so if you come hungry I'm pretty sure they will hook you up with some good stuff. And also they have ADJ there when I went home Saturday which was pretty cool so you could make some requests and they do have a music playing Box to pay money in order to listen to your song so that is the upside to the bar. Overall my visit and is it and experience there was very great everyone was very well kept to themselves smiled and polite so I like this bar I give it 5 stars

Where everybody knows your name! This is a great place to hangout, play pool, listen to bands and meet new people! It's very clean, the owner keeps updating the place with new things and it looks great! If you're a Steelers, Penns or Pirate fan this is the place for you! If you're like me and you're not?? Good food, bartenders and entertainment. 5 different skills machines, 2 nice pool tables, jukebox and new Golden Tee golf game. Every Sunday Felix and the Hurricane's play live music and there's karaoke and a DJ almost every other night.
Love the atmosphere here!! My nephew took me here for the first time many years ago. If Im in the area, plan my agenda around the Black and Gold!!!! Great service and overall experience!!

Black & Gold Taveven's Lemon Pepper Extra Hot Wings are AMAZING!They are hot and the sauce is the Bomb.I'm a wing fanatic and these are Altoona PA's #1 chicken wings.Good happy hour deals and A dozen chicken wings for $6! Come on...The fries are great too regretting not trying out their loaded fries.A must try for Wing Fans

Soooo delicious. Every thing we got was sooo good. It out did my expectations. And I'm really sad that I didn't try the wings because I was full but my eating partner said the wings were better then "our local favorite spot". I will be eating them for lunch tomorrow and I cannot wait. So I got all of this food for 38$. !...Oct-31. Great wings as always never disappoint! Loaded fries are also bombbbbbbbbbb......!!!
