First time here. Stopped by for lunch and it did not disappoint. The bartender was wonderful and pleasant. There is more of a Tex Mex menu which I didn't expect. The Texas chili was amazing, the fish taco was unique. Not a fan of pineapple but it blended well in the taco. The interior is nice. Seems like a great spot to have a few cold ones. Will definitely be back.
Awesome restaurant. Unfortunately the most recent manager here is one of the most rotten human beings I've ever encountered. Unfriendly, rude, and incredibly abrasive.
I get lunch, was easy. Food with good taste. You can grab a cold beer and drinks.
From 2000-2010 we used to go there all the time and it was great. Recently, its a good bar. The restaurant? We have had a number of not great experiences both pre COVID and recently. I could go into the details, but often it's some entree or another coming out 20 minutes later than the rest, or totally dried out ribs, or ... it's always something. The management always offers to make it right. What is frustrating is that the servers will gleefully deposit a very obviously badly prepared plate. When we send it back they say "Yeah, that's wrong." Why am I your quality control? Not bad, just inconsistent.
Casual restaurant with good food and a bar area. Tried their grilled chicken burrito and it was very tasty. It doesn't come with a side which was a bit odd to see just the burrito alone on a plate but there are options to select a side which we decided not to. We also tried their empanadas as a appetizer which was good. Friendly service.
Don't sit at the bar unless you are Ok with their regulars berating and insulting you to get you out of you seat. We have been coming here a few times a week for over a year and today had a regular customer insult and berate us in front of employees who did nothing in order to get us out of our seats for their friends. Find somewhere better where the staff and customers are decent people. I'd recommend PJs over this place.
Got a very yummy salad tonight. The dressing was a bit spicy for me, but we had take out, so i just used another at home. Husband couldn't even finish the burrito he got. Hadn't been there in ages, but I was in the neighborhood and it was too late to cook when I got home. Glad I stopped. Will be back next time i'm in the area.
A surprisingly great meal, atmosphere is great and the food is always on point. Sunset's menu is highly underrated, I feel like I have an inside scoop when I bring friends and family. Great tacos, nachos and other tex-mex style food!
One of my old favorites. I remember when it was just a bar w/dining upstairs. Food choices are plentiful, staff makes you feel welcome. Can't wait to revisit next week when I'm up from Phillie area
