Didn't get what I ordered.... Told the waitress ..... Reponse was I wrote what you wanted..... Missing onions, banana peppers, cheese, and ranch dressing...... So maybe bring me some? NOT..... Also forgot my husband's soup.... So took rest of chicken cheese steak wrap home and will add my own peppers and ranch. Fries were good!
A coworker ordered 6 tacos for our lunch. When we called the day before we were advised that 1 taco per person would be enough because they’re big. Skip ahead to today, (I didn’t think I’d have to double check the bag) we only received 4 of the 6 tacos that we were charged for! They gave us ‘salsa’, which turned out to be marinara sauce, and sour cream, the utensils were dirty and stained with purple juice and the tacos were big enough to fit in your hands (they looked nothing like the pictures on the website and personally not worth the $8 from the size alone). I paid in cash and half on the card, when we called for a refund, they gave us a hard time refusing to refund it to the card linked to the order. This would’ve been my first time eating here but seeing as we were shorted I didn’t get a taco for myself. I will never return, horrible first experience
Decent menu. Had a few apps which were good. However, it took about 1.5 hours for our meal to arrive. The steak was overcooked and the fries undercooked. Waitress never told us of the specials. I hade to walk over to the board to find this out after we ordered.Nice sized bar and plenty of seating
Service was slow. I sat for awhile until waitress stop back so I could get my bill. Food was hot but my chicken steak sandwich had cheese when I asked for no cheese. Had eaten a few bites before I realized it. Was not charged for the cheese so I did not make a fuss. Ordered a mixed drink and was given a double that was not ordered. Should have been told that was the only size
A true Eastside joint. We love this place. Great food for great prices and cheap drinks. Bartenders are also so friendly. A real family like vibe, you guys rock.
One of the best places to get a cheese steak in the ABE area! Very friendly staff, always stopping to make sure your drinks are filled and food is good. We recently celebrated my grandmothers 90th birthday, and they made it an excellent time! I have been going here for years and will continue to do so!
Cool bar atmosphere. Food is a hit or a miss. I had the chicken parm sandwich and I would honestly pass on it. The taco here is amazing. Very big and filling for what you get. Cool place to hangout.
I grew up in Allentown, and Stahley's was THE go-to place for clams and cheesesteaks, at least during my time span in the late 70's and throughout the 80's.So with fond memories in mind, I much anticipated meeting an old friend their for dinner and beers this past July during a week's vacation.On the one hand, it was great to see the old place had not much changed, but I was dismayed to have been treated so rudely by the owner!I had asked for a second draft beer, having not quite finished the first ( 2 sips left).Owner asks, belligerently, "Aren't you going to finish that one?"I was flabbergasted. I guess customers don't mean much there, anymore.Sad times.
Its a good place for typical bar experience. It feels like this bar hasnt changed since the 80s. I mean that as a compliment. Hope they stay that way forever ?
Always great food & service!! Clams & tacos this time for all 4 of us!! Stanley's is an Allentown landmark! Great family owned biz!!
