This place was AMAZING!! Healthy, delicious and very generous portions. The hummus was the best I’ve ever had. Definitely going back
Food was excellent!! First time here - little store front restaurant, not much ambience but the food… absolutely delicious! My hubby had the gyro salad - a go-to for him at any Mediterranean restaurant and he said this was the best he’d had, excellent gyro meat and the tzatziki very good indeed. I had the veggie plate: three small stuffed grape leaves which were warm aromatic moist and beautiful flavor, 3 falafel which were crispy outside/moist inside very good, humus, salad and pita bread, Wish I’d taken photos for you, very nice presentation. Friendly service, and because it was our first time in we were given a piece of baklava to go… such a lovely gesture and let me tell you - it was extremely good, very light and not too sweet. We will be back!
The best Greek/halal food in town, no question about it. Falafel is bursting with flavor and the Greek salad was exceptional. Customer service is superb as well. Will definitely be back!
This was the best middle eastern food I’ve ever had in Portland. I’ve had a lot of Mediterranean food here but this one hits the spot. It feels fresh and homemade and not like anything was frozen and packaged. Everyone there was super nice and friendly and they had EXTRAVAGANT service. 10/10 for me. I would eat this everyday if I could
Probably the best middle eastern food in the Portland area. My family and I have been to this place so many times and always had great experience. Their spicy chicken shawarma on samoon is fantastic (it is always on our order list, whenever we go there, the sauce is amazing!) and the ground lamb kabab is moist and delicious.
the food here was so delicious ? and the people here were so nice and when I came they immediately came to me and sat me down at my table I order the hummus plate with pita bread and also kabab over rice it was so DELICOUSE. this is the best arabic restaurant I have ever been too in Oregon.
Okay, so I'm going to warn you that this place is not fancy by any means and the indoor dining setup is a little...how should I say? Old school--it's like something you might find in an alley. Certainly a hole in the wall. But I'm telling you it's worth getting past that initial image and yes it's in this strange, small strip mall but the food is exceptionally fresh, so tasty and decently priced. Literally the nicest people work here as I must have bugged them for five cups of hot tea while I was there and they were happy to accommodate. I don't know what they put in their hot tea in Iraq. I didn't ask but it's super sweet and comforting after the meal. These pictures are after scarfing down half the dishes, so please do not judge the lack of meat. When the food got delivered to the table, the portion amounts were just right! This was such a relaxed, super chill place and definitely delicious. They have so many vegetarian and vegan options and tons of meat options as well and honestly I have never tasted Iraqi food this good since trying it years ago in Vancouver BC. Lucky for the locals here! We ordered the lamb tikka, mezzah and chicken sandwich.
If you like Middle Eastern food you NEED to try this place. I was in the mood for something lighter so I decided to try their falafel and a side of hummus. It was honestly the best falafel I have ever had in my life. The hummus was also SO good. The food is so fresh and tastes like it was made with quality ingredients. The staff/owners were all very kind and the restaurant was very clean. I cannot wait to go back to try some of their meat plates!!
Staff/owners are very friendly, kind and thoughtful to customers. I was given a free sample (my first) of baklava and it was delicious. Sweet, crunchy, flavorful, I can't wait to dine here for myself. I recommend this restaurant even just from the welcoming attitude here.
Delicious falafel sandwich. I like this place for lunch. Check it out if you're looking for good mid-eastern food.
