This place is INCREDIBLE!!!!! There are very few of of these family run restaurants left, and certainly none that match the magnificence of Banning's. Everything is homemade, from their cakes to their chicken pot pie to their meatloaf to their towering cakes and rich pies. We were blown away with their delicious cooking. We had their meatloaf platter and their chicken pot pie. I have never tasted a better crust or filling than Banning's pot pie! And the meatloaf was so well seasoned and flavorful. AMAZING FOOD! We ended with slices of their phenomenal made-from-scratch Berry Poppyseed Cake and their Carrot Cake. So moist, rich, and unique. Highly recommended. The menu selection and service were top notch. Be sure to arrive early as they are very popular and seats fill up fast. If you're ever looking for a one-of-a-kind meal, Banning's is the place. Bravo to the family and staff of Banning's for providing such excellent food! We will definitely be back!!
My experience at Banning’s is mixed! I tend to judge restaurants cleanliness on how clean the bathrooms are and salt and pepper shakers. Salt and Pepper shakers flunked. Bathroom okay. My Salmon was good… broccoli cold and seasoned mashed potatoes bland! My water was never refilled as the server would not make eye contact with me. She never came back to check to see if we needed anything until she brought the check. This is the place you go to for pie and cake! They are wonderful!
This restaurant is incredible. I have been here 3 times now and everything I have ordered is beyond impressive. Better than a lot of fine dining establishments. Beyond that, the staff is super friendly and very attentive. All round it is a great place to grab a bite to eat. I think its the best kept secret in the area. I can see why they have been in business for over 40 years. ALSO, all the pies and cakes are absolutely amazing. I will be back soon.

Chocolate pie and cheesecake were great, apple pie was a little too seasoned for me.
Stopped on my way to friends house and grabbed a slice of lemon meringue pie to go. Customer service was great and the pie was perfect from the crust to the lemon custard and the meringue! Made to perfection! I'll be back for more pie for sure.
Huevos Rancheros was great. I will be back for sure. Can't wait to try the pie.
Great food and service as always
I was super excited to try Banning's. I will preface this by saying I did not have pie, which I have heard is why they are so popular. I had biscuits and gravy, two eggs, sausage, and a side of hash browns. The biscuits were good, the gravy was plain old gravy with no sausage in it. It was just boring. The hash browns were crunchy on the outside but mush in the middle. Overall it was an average meal.
