The steak was supposed to be medium rare, more on the rare side. It was rubbery and overcooked, I guess I should have stated that I wanted it that way rather than medium rare more rare than medium
I always get there 2 for 25 special I think it's it's a great price for the amount of food you get which seems to be harder to find these days. The food is always fantastic and they have an awesome desert menu I like to add since I'm saving money already it doesn't make me feel guilty for splurging on a brownie a LA mode!! I've never had a problem with the staff everyone seems to always be more than helpful. One of my favorite restaurants I do recommend and will definitely be returning.
I didn't complain because I knew I'd have to wait even longer. The only waitress was sweet and capable but forgot the small things no big deal there. I understand the staffing issues restaurants are having. This is more about quality than anything else. Nothing I had was warm. My chicken sandwich was meh. The chicken breast was overcooked in places just cooked in others. The bacon was old and half cooked in places. Asked for no sauce. I got sauced whether i wanted it or not. My fries were also old and had no substance to them just skin. My husband said his was fine compared to mine. Not sure if I'll go back. I hope things get better. Most of this could've been avoided.
If I had to pick an Applebee's with the worst of everything it would be this location. Before I mention my most recent visit on April 3rd, of 2022 I will say even 16 years ago it was terrible. Went here for a celebration with family after proposing, server cared more about the young hot girls then helping us. Food was wrong, cold, drinks empty, and then he chased after us because we didn't tip and that was "how he was paying for school." Fast forward to present day. Went here for lunch with my wife and 3 of our kids. Our server was hardly present. Most of the time you couldn't even find her in the vicinity of the room. Even other workers walked right by us. Kids chocolate milks sat empty, my beverage sat empty. I believe I only received one refill the entire time we were there. Ordered food and appetizers. The first appetizer we ordered they were "out of" and the yogurt for the kids strawberries they were "out of" as well. Upon receiving pretzel bites with beer cheese, was nothing more than Alfredo sauce. Now let's talk about the main course. I ordered the whiskey bacon burger. This burger not only had a patty thinner than a fast food patty, but it was flavorless, dry, and over cooked. Worst burger I have had from a restaurant. Wife got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp and she thought it was good. That's not great or delicious, but better than what I received. I told myself I wasn't coming back to Applebee's when our first incident happened, but went there anyway because we were all hungry and it was close by where we were at during that time. Now this terrible experience many years later. I will not be returning to this location. Sorry Gateway Applebee's, do better, be better.
Food wasn't prepared to order, Burger was way under cooked and we had to cook it when we got home and the chicken was so dry it was barely edible. Food was cold by the time we got it and went home (3 miles away). Called and talked to the manager and she apologized and offered to comp our entire order then sent a $25 E-card. Not the first time we have had issues but it will be the last time. Highly NOT recommended !!!!!
There was a bug in my soda the waitress only brought three waters for four people at our table and never brought another water. One of our four entrees was incorrect and took 20 minutes to get it fixed and other three people were done eating before the 4th on true was brought out correctly. Was charged more than the menu listed price for my food. I'll never go back.
Staff was amazing! It was a Busy Saturday night. Food was hot service rocked. I had the Bourbon Street shrimp and chicken, my boyfriend had the whiskey bacon burger. Both of us were in love with our meals. Just delicious! We will DEFINITELY be back!

So you have customers come in and your host tells them it's going to be a one hour wait to even be seated. Over half the booths and seats are empty but your servers being short staff is the reason but you have A bar hop and 2 waitresses just standing around. I remember when I was 18 having to run an entire restaurant go crazy by myself with one cook and we make it work.. Today society needs to grow up and learn some work ethic..Making money is obviously not important just an option to employees now a days. My bosses would of fired me for turning away guests and not at least seating them to make money on drinks while the long wait..
It's Applebee's.. nearly the entire staff was hanging out in the kitchen. The bartender was trying his best to take care of the bar and a handful of tables..I honestly can't say I've ever had much better than "Denny's at 3am" level of service here. I've just grown to expect it. Sad really, a manager that cared could really turn a place like this into a decent example of the chain.
