We have had wonderful meals and service in the past, but unfortunately not at our most recent visit. I am not one to complain but when you spend a premium for a quality dining experience one expects more. So what was not up to snuff with our recent experience (7/22/2022), over an hour to get our entrees and the lukewarm temperature of our food. My hangar steak was just that, lukewarm. I had a generous portion of frites, French for fries, that were not seasoned (herbed) as mentioned on the menu description. Our server was friendly but led to believe after more than a half hour after eating our dinner salads that our meal would be coming shortly. It took another half hour. I did have a side conversation with the hostess about our experience and she stated some of the kitchen staff was new and being trained. She was going to relay our concerns to the manager. I would like to talk to the manager. I am not angry just extremely disappointed with how our dining experience went.
The food was amazing, and we loved the outdoor seating. Unfortunately only snapped one pic, which was the chorizo and poblano pepper dip (delicious). I had the Lemon macarpone Dungeness crab fettuccine, and it was excellent!
We celebrated a birthday here and every single dish was delicious. Scott provided amazing service and made our experience extremely pleasant and enjoyable. Our favorite was the herb chicken and arancini dish, it was flavorful and fresh. We also loved the s’mores brûlée with homemade graham crackers for a birthday dessert. Plus the view at sunset was incredible. We had a really wonderful time at Maggie’s and we look forward to our next visit.
Great food and a great view. This place is easy to miss because it faces the water along the promenade. But give it a try if you’re at Seaside. I had the Hanger Steak dish and my wife had the dinner special, a Seafood Stew. They even had a very healthy choice for our son, a nice Salmon and Brócoli dish. We all thought the food was great! We also tried the Mock-tails as we were avoiding alcohol. But I could hear others ordering from a good selection of wines and liquor. In general I feel this place breaks away from the typical meh or so-so quality of the food in a sea-side resort town like Seaside. We were pleased with it. It is a little on the pricey side, but ok given the good quality, taste and view.
Had a delightful dinner there our first night in town and went back for clam chowder and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc the next night. Our wait person, Anita and the owner, Maggie both suggested places to visit here. Everyone was friendly and helpfulI. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had the most elegant salmon dinner at Maggie's . The entire meal from salad to dessert made our birthday celebration. It is a gem on the promenade so make reservations and they will provide you with a wonderful meal
I arrived late afternoon in Seaside and did not know any of the restaurants, so I researched a bit. Came across this gem and my first thought was "hmm, I'm not really in the mood for "country" type cooking. Looked at a bunch of other restaurants and nothing really caught my eye, so I ended up on Maggie's listing again and looked at the menu. I immediately noticed the Braised Pork Cheeks and those are one of my favorite items, so I decided to go. What a delight! Food was delicious. The grits was the best I've ever eaten. Buttery and gooey. Yum. The only small suggestion: I would not pair this dish with a super strong winter green vegetable like kale, because the taste of that vegetable overpowered the Pork Cheeks. Other than that, it was stellar.
I’ve likes Maggie’s for a while. Usually I just order the clam chowder and enjoy the view. I decided to get some dinner. I asked the attendant what he preferred, and he said the burger was really good.I got it medium rare. The burger had arugula instead of lettuce for just the right peppery kick. So incredibly juicy! Tons of flavor! It was accompanied by the rosemary fries. Which where also a knock out.Everything is fresh, seasonal, and cooked to order. It’s worth the stop! Yum!
We visited Maggie's for the first time Friday evening for a business trip and were impressed! From drinks to dessert, everything that we ordered was delicious. The cocktails we ordered were Orange Creamsicle, Seaside Siren and two Saucy Abuelita's to go. They have the BEST clam chowder we have ever had!! For supper we had Grilled Montreal Hangar Steak & Herb Frites. Steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection and frites paired perfectly. S'Mores Brulee was dessert and wowza. Graham crackers are made in house, are soft and melt in your mouth. Highly recommend dining at Maggie's and we will definitely return!
This restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the Seaside Oceanfront Inn. We actually obtained the last table without a reservation the other night and were served by Richard, who made our meal all the better with his great customer service and recommendations. Great food, really nice atmosphere and you can access it from the Prom or Inn. There is a patio that is open on nicer days but this day was not one of them. They serve lunch and dinner so no breakfast at this time but I imagine that could change any time. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
