This place has some of the best seafood out there. The clam chowder is absolutely delicious! Went here twice while visiting Seaside, and had great service both times. Don't remember their names, but the server from Italy was super friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond for our table. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great seafood restaurant with lots of tasty menu choices. They do have a lot of fried items, but they do also have a decent selection of grilled and other options. Our food was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and our dining experience was extremely pleasant. Will be dining here again in the future, and highly recommend to others.
Best chowder on the Oregon coast - no thickeners, no bacon ... just clams, potatoes and cream in perfect proportion. Everything here is good and prepared very well, but the chowder is simply top-drawer. The wait staff are gracious and friendly, the atmosphere nicer than the typical chowder house, and the prices are fair. Do your own chowder crawl and see if you agree with this assessment.
There are lots of seafood options in Seaside, but you won’t go wrong with this one. Husband ordered the captain’s platter, Cajun fried and clam chowder. I am not seafood person, so I ordered the house made chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Oh. My. Word. It was all fabulous. My husband said, “Wow!!” repeatedly as he ate. It wasn’t quite a “When Harry Met Sally” moment, but it was close. At seafood restaurants, the non-seafood options are often afterthoughts, but I’d put my pasta meal up against any from a high end Italian restaurant. To top it all off, our waitress provided excellent service. So happy we made the right choice out of many options!
If restaurant serve some crackers in plastic and ketchup in plastic containers it’s not restaurant it’s Macdonalds and check it out this fried in canola oil scallops. this is not a restaurant!!! Restaurant must have chef and fresh quality food and not prefabricated food!!! most surprising that this coast has beautiful nature good ecology fresh fish. They could produce amazing food!!!
We came here for lunch while on vacation and loved the food so much we returned three more times! The clam chowder is amazing and loaded with clams. Their fish is delicious, especially the cod. My kids cleaned their plates each time and that never happens! Every server we had was amazing. We will miss this place until our next visit.
Staff was super friendly, which is always great on vacation. It felt like I was eating at my local family restaurant. This was my daughter’s first time having crab legs and she enjoyed them. Pricey, but it’s vacation. The clam chowder, which was gluten free, was my favorite part. I would come back just for that. Very accommodating for gluten free, but note that we are not celiac. I got the gluten free Cod. The cod was a bit dry, but it was nice to get fried fish. The baked potato was fabulous. My other daughter got the stake sammich. They also accommodated her by making it on gluten free bread. It was good but a bit bland. Our server was very attentive to our gluten free needs. We would absolutely come back. The place was packed, but they took care of everyone well.
I popped into Dooger's alone for a late lunch. My server could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, and my meal was delicious. Decided to splurge on a glass of wine, and the pour was generous. Didn't feel rushed as I took my time enjoying my solitary meal, and I had a lovely time.
Combination platter had salmon, cod, oysters, scallops,calamari and prawns; lightly coated & friedSteak sandwich, Lobster tail was excellent but tenderloin steak was dry . Jake was a very good & patient waiter .
I had the fish and chips (halibut) and clam chowder. The whole meal was very good. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.
