This place was pretty good. We ordered and got our food quickly. So big points for that. The beer batter cod wasn't anything to throw a party for. It was just a little bit dry. I've had much better cod at many other places. The seasoning was lacking too. Just seems like there could have been more flavor or effort put into the flavor.It's not that we won't eat here again but I'll probably pass it up unless all else fails.
Fresh crab &shrimp cocktails, with the best cocktail sauce. We always get a large. Husband got a crab melt, which he loves the bread it comes on. I loved the 5 piecebasket of halibut. The halibut chunks are so moist & the batter is hot & crispy. I was stuffed after our visit.Served with a coleslaw & tartar sauce. They have cold cans of soda. Loved the outdoor seating options, your dogs can sit with you on the lower seating area by the river. This place has fresh seafood and do not judge this place by its cover. We come here every time we come to the coast. Employees were very kind.
My go to place for fresh crab, shrimp, salmon, rockfish, halibut, clams and more. Easy access on the Hwy 101 Seaside Oregon south end of town. Very friendly and order is custom made up in moments.Outside there is a restaurant where they serve excellent fish and chips from a full menu, and exclusively with outdoor seating.
This place has better (halibut and cod) fish and chips than Mo's. Granted the halibut pieces are not as big as I expected(but then again halibut is expensive),the fish servings are juicy and taste fresher than any beer battered halibut I've ever had.This reminds me of the fresh fishes we always eat back home. I seriously wish I have rice right now. LMAO!P.S. You might need some dash of salt though for the fish :-)The fries are good too!
Hands down the BEST fish n’ chips in Seaside! Prices are good, food is great!!! Views are nice!!
I will never recommend this restaurant to anybody. The crab dinner is over priced, they do not clean the crab before they boil it. The clam chowder is more like a pudding then chowder with no flavor. The customer service was very pleasant at first, but a refund for the barely touched food wasn't offered. Only thing that went well for the meal was the chicken strips my husband ordered. The cheesy bread that was offered was not part of the meal, and was required to pay $1 for each piece of microwaved cheesy bread. They also automatically charged a 15% gratuity so be careful cause they are charging you for lousy service.Aside from the food the table we sat at had crumbs all over the table and the bathroom was very dirty. What view we did have of the kitchen also looked rather dirty and under kept. So be careful of hidden grossness in your food as well as flies. Their side door was open the whole time and allowed insects to come in at anytime.All in all worst experience for the day with my family.
This place is literally a hole in the wall, but, ohhhh - the food is outstanding! I don't think I've ever had clam chowder as good as they have. I had the Cod and Prawn basket, my husband had the salmon basket. Not only is the food really fresh, but the fries were even good. I would highly recommend eating here!
we have been coming to Seaside for over 8 years. thus used to be our favorite stop for crab, shrimp salmon and smoked oysters. we stopped in on March 30th, the crab legs were 100.00 a pound, crab peices were 60.00 a pound. unbelievable prices but we went ahead and bought a half pound of each. He said it was fresh that day. that evening we ate a small amount of each, it didn't taste all that fresh. the next day we took it out to have for lunch it was very strong smelling, took a bite and threw it away. that is not cool... to be told it was fresh and it clearly was not. that was very expensive. we spend alot of money in this store and are leaving from our visit very disappointed. by the way, we bought a fresh cooked and cleaned crab Friday at the jetty for 18.00 a pound it was delicious. 100.00 a pound was clearly taking advantage of good people visiting your town.
We stayed at seaside for 3 days and ate out for almost every meal, and this place was hamds down the best. Hole in the wall, small locally owned AMAZING establishment. The service was superb and we even got recommendations for activities in the area. Outside seating by the water with almost no one else there. It was such an enjoyable experience. Will absolutely be returning every time I am in the area. Check it out!!!
We were staying in Cannon Beach and were desperate to find good, local, fresh seafood and were thrilled when we were sent here. Well worth the short drive up from Cannon Beach. We had the Captains plate and got to try all the fried cod, halibut, prawns, clams and oysters and also split the Whole Crab Dinner. It was amazing! Everything we have been looking for as far as fresh seafood and friendly staff go. The crab dinner was unreal. Highly highly recommend this spot. Not to be missed!
