What a wonderful and relaxing environment. The atmosphere was inviting, although walking up to it you may question if you are at the correct place - go on in, you will not be disappointed. The blueberry pancakes are delicious and sizable. Come hungry or plan to share the pancakes. Blueberries are plump and flavorful. Veggie burger was also very good. No intention to taste like beef, it was moist and very delicious. Overall terrific find. We are visitors to the region, otherwise would be our newest go to place for good food and atmosphere.

Had a phenomenal breakfast here, Biscuits & Gravy, both smothered. The biscuits were terrific, had a nice crust on the bottom to keep them firm, tops were fluffy, but substantial. The sawmill gravy was outstanding; smooth, creamy, and plenty of sausage bits throughout. The bacon was the big surprise, thick and smoky and cooked just right. Eggs were scrambled and cooked perfectly. And this was all done while a steady stream of people were coming in, and all the tables were taken. Server was attentive, friendly and real personable. The whole facility is really cool, established in an old single family house. But I was floored when I used the restroom, as it was surprisingly swanky! All around awesome meal, and truly unforgettable.

My absolute favorite restaurant ever, you get delicious food and large portions! It's built out of a repurposed house, which makes the interior very unique. Just know that it's super popular so there's usually going to be a 30 - 40 min wait before you can be seated. Also, my favorite thing on the menu, the Chicken Fried Steak, was unfortunately taken off when they reopened. I understand since it would be very expensive to get the ingredients these days, but I do miss it!

My Lyft driver told me about this breakfast must while en route to my hotel.(literally word of mouth) I walked almost 2 miles to eat breakfast here and it was so worth it! I didn’t have to wait to be seated- my lucky day. Based on the reviews and my Lyft driver’s recommendation, I ordered the French toast, bacon and eggs over easy. The eggs were perfectly cooked- the whites glistened, yolks broke smoothly. Bacon is so thick and tastes fantastic. So little fat. The French toast is amazing. Two pieces! There wasn’t a lot of caked on sugar like another reviewer mentioned. It was pure bliss in my mouth. I took 1 slice to go because it was too much to eat in one sitting. It tasted good heated up, not as good as fresh, but still good. This is on 17th St, around 75 feet from State St. Very cute interior (see photos). You do have to make your way up around 8 steps to get in. The bathroom is very nice. My waitress was very efficient and nice; the one serving the tables across the way was over the top sweet and conscientious. Definitely a must do if you’re in Salem or close by.

Food was really good. Scratch made breads, freezer jam, perfectly cooked eggs. Staff was lovely - attentive and friendly.

Tried this place and it ROCKS! Yummy food and the NICEST workers! We would eat here everyday if my waist line would allow it. We ordered too much food and the next day leftovers tasted just as yummy as the fresh.

Holy cow!! Come for the friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere and stay for the crem Brule French toast. Best French toast I've literally ever had. The rest of my food was top notch as well.

NO Card,No Service. Nope, no thanks. Not today, not tomorrow, I don’t submit to tyranny, not from my government, and certainly not from restaurants. My medical history is not your business. I will happily take mine elsewhere!

Not like they used to be. Quality has gone down. We ordered the French toast and breakfast burrito. We don’t know why but nothing tasted fresh and delicious. Just ok.

Great food , and super friendly staff even going above and beyond to now require vax cards for dine in , which is awesome to have as a more safe breakfast place to go to knowing that everyone else unmasked is vaccinated! And they still offer take out for those who choose not to get vaccinated!
