I’m truly not sure how I’ve lived in Oregon for 20+ years before discovering this gem. What a gorgeous preservation of Oregon history. Get a map, get a key, and take a self guided tour around this historic site. The history is fascinating and the buildings and machinery look like the workers could walk back in and pick up where they left off. Definitely worth the minor entry fee.
Beautiful setting. Interesting history. New businesses going in. A Pendleton store opening soon there. Great restaurant on site. A lovely spot with easy access and parking.
Good quiet little place for getting a feel for the history of the area. Give yourself up to 2 hours if you want to go on tours of the mill and houses from the 1940s. Neat little place; your experience will be what you make of it.
Incredible. Really interesting museum. Totally recommend.
We went for the light show. Sdly it was better last year. Damn cold had half the lights off and the buildings were closed. The cottages. Lovely creek though.
Festive and charming! Very pleasant staff too, the grandies loved it!!!
Yea I wouldn’t drive far to go here. Not much to see and very boring. Best part was the extremely tiny museum. Can probably read everything in 30 minutes or less. Has a few stores inside. If you in Salem make the quick stop but anything farther than 20 minutes it’s not worth it
Fun field trip with my kid's school.
Fascinating place! Very well done. I learned a lot of history I did not know previously.
Quiltopia 2021 was amazing!!! I added to my fabric stash and quilt library. I even won a beautiful handmade tote bag in the hourly drawing. I have shared just a few pictures of some of the quilts.
