So today my fiance and her grandma went here to get my fiance a birthday dinner from her grandma. When they got there it seemed a little slow for some one to acknowledge them which I understand not a big deal but as there were waiting to be seated about 230 pm so not crazy busy a server needed through the front door which they were standing at because it said please wait to be seated. Instead of asking them politely she said "move I need to get through" in a voice that made them feel like they were not wanted. And I do want to mention grandma is 75 with mobility issues and instead of trying to help her find a seat she is told to move. Should nit be allowed to talk to guests that way just because your not getting our tip.
The decor and vibe are upbeat and current. It felt like a place I’d want to own if I were to own a place and food I’d want to serve to people I like. It was totally yum.
If you’re downtown this is well worth a visit. They have a vegan bowl, but it was gone by 3pm. The Mexican style chicken dish was a good substitute, if you eat chicken. The BBQ thai banh mi sandwich was good too. Happy hour from 3 to 5 or 6. Nice service.
We go to wild pear regularly. Food is expensive for what it is, but it’s always good. If it was just based on the food quality, I would give it 5*.We ordered takeout tonight. It was 10 minutes late and there was no communication about the wait time. When we took it out to the car to check the bag, there was no ice cream with the cobbler we ordered. When I went back into get it, I was told they were out and that’s why “we gave you whipped cream.” No explanation offered about why we weren’t told when ordering or offering to reduce the price of the item. The overall lack of communication and not offering to address a missing part of an item is really disappointing.
It started out great. I met a dear friend for lunch. The server recommended two signature dishes. I opted for the small Wild Pear salad with added chicken. As I ate, I realized my plate lacked the chicken: server summoned. Almost in disbelief, she checked notes, headed to the kitchen. I only received an apology after she confirmed it was her error. Salad was almost gone. No point in chicken now. I paid the bill. There were empty tables and no one waiting, yet we were informed there was a 90 minute limit and ours was up in 5 minutes. I left hungry. Sorry I tipped. Won't go back.
Our first order was for Christmas 2020 Holiday Meals for takeout. Since then we have enjoyed their stellar lunch sandwiches catered at work.
This was our first time. The food was amazing. Honestly we tried going back the following weekend but found they close early (6:30pm).Even the kid’s menu is good. Both my kids ate all of their food (6/7 years old). Which isn’t normal for them. One had burger and fries. The other had a cheese pizza. (Not pictured)The only reason I gave them a 4 star review, is the service wasn’t the best. They might of been short staffed. The waitress/bartender forgot to come back and to take the rest of our order. She was nice and very apologetic.
Many years ago I came here and it wasn't my favorite. I recently returned and I would say it was a 180 experience. Great menu, well prepared dishes and specials. Quality, service good . A bit of something for everyone. Cool bar you can pull up to for a quick lunch. Wr had a hummus Plate with veggies. I Had their Kalua pulled pork sandwiche with ginger slaw. Marionberyy BBQ on the side. Mixed fried. Was tasty. ?
I ordered the tomato cheddar soup and the tomato cheddar tart and both were AMAZING!!! the corn meal crust on the tart was CRAZY GOOD!! fantastic service! highly recommend this wonderful place!
Nice early dinner with friendly, quick service. I had the turkey and dill havarti sandwich with the pesto pea pasta salad. Everything was delicious. I also took home a slice of cheesecake with Carmel sauce, wonderful!
