Best value in Salem!I ordered the steak and eggs for a very modest price. Eggs over easy were perfect. The steak was perfectly medium as ordered. The ladies waitressing were the perfect balance of attentive, polite, and timely.This is my new breakfast place!Don't tell anyone. Don't come here. Its like that secret fishing place. :)
I absolutely cannot believe that the potatoes we got with our meal were allowed outside the kitchen. No these were not left on the counter overnight, this exactly what i got when i ordered to go. Soggy, no seasoning it made me question whether or not to eat the other parts of my order. Biscut and gravy were okay, but i would not order from here again.
Country Fried Steak was good size and tender, Gravy was room temp and not much flavor and VERY thin, the potatoes were not evenly cooked. Some were hard and some were really mushy, Biscuits were decent but a touch dry.Eggs were cooked perfectly.Staff was nice and attentive. The atmosphere nice tooMight come back for dinner... but unsure.
Highly recommend!!!! Stopped in for breakfast and was blown away with the quality of service and food. Got there chicken fried steak that was cooked perfectly- perfect crisp on the outside but yet still fork cutable and tender on the inside. The country potatoes are at the top of the list of some that I have had
Waitress was on break so took 15 min to place order and get terrible coffee. Ordered chicken fried steak. The meat was rancid. The toast was cold with some kind of margarine that looked like frosting on a cake. The potatoes were mostly skins and dry and burned to a crisp. On a good note eggs were cook properly. we paid, eating nothing and will never return
Excellent fish & chips and service. Will definitely be back for breakfast and dinner again.
This is a restaurant by the family who used to run Chalet back in the day. It is a small setting and can get backed-up during typical meal times, so come for brunch or late lunch.Lots of options on the menu to choose from and the food was of good quality. Staff were pleasant enough and helpful for pairing down the right option for your pallet. Servings are just above average size.Enjoy!
I wasn't thrilled as I ordered what it said on the menu was hashbrowns but it wasn't , rather it was pieces of potatoes and those didn't look like so good. They only served 1/2 of an English muffin and it was fine and the jam was very good. The egg was fixed just right. So I will give it 3 stars.
One of my favorite brunch spots! Highly highly recommend this place if you’ve never been. Food is hot and flavorful and the portions are great for the price
Place is dirtyyyyyyyyy. Gave me dirty silverware and cups. do not recommend. food wasn’t even warm. water down gravy. wasn’t worth waiting for a table. seems like the workers are drunk and asked me several times with jam I wanted. will not be going again
