I had the Strawberry Dream salad, my companion had the Ferdinand salad and we both had a house special cocktail. Everything we ordered was delicious, presented beautifully & exactly what we needed. The ambience here is lovely. I saw a meal worthy bloody mary delivered to another table & decided that's my next brunch. Highly recommend Taproot & I'm glad I gave it a go.
Nice hipster ambiance, friendly staff and delicious food. Prices are about right. Only one thing we noticed they served beer, as we saw other people being served, but the beer menu was never showed to us from the beginning, maybe the server forgot.Nevertheless great food and healthy! We got two bowls and they were filling.
Nice variety of vegan food. They were good qt being fast. We didn't have to wait long. The drinks were pretty.
A friend had recommended Taproot Lounge and Cafe and told me it was a great place to eat. Unfortunately, I'm extremely disappointed. I ordered 'The OG Burger' with chicken and it has to be the driest and most bland burger I've had in a long time. I put ranch on it but it still didn't help because the chicken was so dry. Their side portions are incredibly small. I ordered a Parallel 45 cocktail and it was very sweet, tastes like liqueur and is not what I expected. I initially thought of ordering a poutine (especially given my Canadian roots) and wish I had. I'm not sure if I'll return given my experience. Not recommended.
I went for a late lunch with a friend and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. I was very happy with the size and taste of my burger and the fries. I wouldn't normally mention the size of my food but I was looking at other reviews and noticed somebody mentioned their side of fries being small. Looking at their picture I'm not sure I would call it small, but I can say that my side order of fries was a larger portion than what was depicted in the photos. The wait staff was also good and attentive. I would be happy to come back here again. I'd be particularly interested in seeing what the normal lunch or dinner hour feels like.
Cool atmosphere downtown. Friendly fast staff. Breakfast tacos were delicious. Bacon with the bloody Mary!! Yes please!!
We descended on them with 30 family members after thinking we'd only have 22. They excelled. The wait people we're patient. We even had about a dozen infant to teenage kids. Our orders came out delicious the food was a 10 easily and fast out. Our checks were spot on. I'm so impressed.
Love their Brussels sprouts!!! My favorite place to sit is in the back where the fish tank is in the wall and appears like an open book inside a tree!
One of the best bars in Salem. It would be cool if one of the bartenders occasionally walked around and asked people that aren't sitting at the bar if they want anything. You have to lose your seat to order a drink if your not sitting at the bar. People will stand around and wait for you to stand up so they can steal your chair.
