I enjoyed the food, plenty to choose from. friendly staff. we will be back.
It's under new managememt and I have to say it's SO MUCH better. The food is fresher and of higher quality. The family that owns it really takes pride in their food and service. They are hiring because there I think there is only 1 server but he's amazing and really takes care of his customers. They are really busy so just have a little patience, they're worth it.

Not sure what happened. Food at the South Salem used to be really good, last two times it's been horrible. A new chef maybe? The spicy tuna used to be the best and now it's the worst. The orders have been wrong the last couple times I've ordered. What happened sushi Kyo? My favorite sushi restaurant is now my least favorite. Sad day.

I devoured my sushi rolls! Very friendly young lady took my togo order at the door. Seared salmon and rainbow rolls tasted perfect! Nailed the texture. I will be back. Thank you!

Love the sushi convayor belt! Great prices! One of my favorite places in Salem for almost 15 years now! Tired and don't want to talk after work? Come sit at the counter and enjoy food and drinks! Want to enjoy friends and have great food? Sit at a booth and order some rolls!

Salty sushi, chicken teriyaki felt like it is a few days old. Would likely not order any time soon.
