Really good. I’m an East Coast boy…closest thing I’ve found to New York pizza on the West Coast. Just the set up and the long counter and stools I guess, but it’s a super easy and comfortable place to just run in and grab a quick slice. Really friendly staff, too. I’ve gotta go at least once a week for a slice or two or my week doesn’t feel complete.
The pizza was pretty good but I felt it was expensive. We ordered on the phone and when we arrived we were told she gave us the wrong time so we still had 20 minutes to wait for our pizza. When we went back in to get our pizza, the radio was BLARRING a song full of the f word and they did not turn it down. We ordered the spicy chicken pizza with NO jalapeno. When we got home, the chicken pizza had Sriracha or some other hot sauce on it so only 1 person was willing to eat it, which was a super bummer since it was $29!!!!
The pizza was mediocre and felt pretty dry. I would have maybe given three stars, but part of my order was done incorrectly. When I called in the order, I asked for a dozen chicken wings, half with bbq sauce and half just plain. I made it very clear I did not want buffalo sauce (since I can’t handle spicy food very well) and the receipt even said 6 plain wings; instead, I got buffalo sauce. That seems like an easily preventable mistake. The wing meat was quite good, actually, but after the ones with the buffalo sauce my lips were numb, eyes watery, and who knows how my lower half will do later. Also, either the prices on the website are wrong or I was overcharged. Online it says the large Combination pizza is $29 and a dozen wings are $10 (I was charged $30 and $12, respectively).
Wings were great, the pizza was so burnt it tasted like charcoal.
I've been taking my Childern here for nearly 2 decades. I love the by the slice pepperoni and a good cream soda when on a walk with the kiddos. They have outdoor seating that yob can watch pizzas being made from.
I love this pizza! If you like authentic pizza, like in Italy or New York, you will probably like this. If you like Dominos or Papa Murphys then you probably wont like this. Most really good wood-fired pizza is usually slightly burnt on the bottom, not considered a flaw.
We are from NY and PA and now travel full time for my husbands job. This is the first place out west that actually has good NY style pizza!!! We look forward to ordering more while we are here for the next few months!
This was our first time trying (went to the location on Liberty), and honestly first impression of the pizza was mediocre - like pizza from a mall. Bottom of pizza was very slightly black so it left a bit of a burnt taste in my mouth, and the crust was so hard so it made it easy to skip the extra carbs there. I'd get a giant breadstick again though if I crave a soft, doughy bread that reminds me of a cinnamon roll.
Randomly stopped in this pizza place after finding out my other dinner place had closed early for a business party. I found the crew friendly, the pizza superb and the price right up my alley.
Horrible service. Pizza was 30 minutes late, no apologies and was just sitting there getting cold while it waited to be delivered. we know cause we asked how long it would take to make if we headed down to get it ourselves. oh ..it was ready. just sitting there. No worries, they offered to refund the delivery charge. Ridiculous. Courtesy calls are helpful. Running crazy late, offer some bread sticks or something. Definitely don't have a nasty attitude when people just wonder where their food is.
