This place used to be our favorite. We supported them 3x a week during the entire pandemic, and have been happy until Thursday night when we ordered delivery for their 2 most expensive dishes on the menu.We were never told about the delivery charge which they double charged AND they double charged my tip so they overcharged me by $16. It was $54 for 2 burritos with hardly any steak and all beans, came cold, and I was severely overcharged. ??♀️Unfortunately our once favorite restaurant offered to refund $5 only (and never did plus added another $3), and gave NO APOLOGY. We will NEVER eat there again.
We have tried other places no places is outstanding then this place. there cheese enchilada's are so good. I am so picky about my food. Now we live in Arizona found a place that is outstanding but not at as good as these guys
Best Mexican in Salem by far. And amazingly the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food your get.I have to say for sure though you have to try the large drink in a bowl. It tastes so fresh and amazingAlso want to mention I order carry out from here a lot and the food is still all amazing. They also have smaller portions sized dishes if your are watching your calories
We use to eat here once a week as our family dinner out in the late 90s into the 2000s I've since moved out of Salem and was passing through and thought I'd stop in and get what I use to. I was so disappointed, the prices went up (which I understand) and portions got way smaller my chimichanga was warm and soggy the beans don't taste the same the smallest amount of sour cream and guacamole for a combination plate, the salsa hardly had flavor BUT the TRUE homemade tortillas are to die for those have not changed. I'm hoping maybe it was just to cook on hand for lunch that day and maybe next time i come in itll be someone different and for their dinner.
This place is honestly the BEST Mexican restaurant in all of Salem. The staff is so friendly and attentive to there customers. You are treated like family here and the interior of the restaurant is very nicely kept clean and is beautiful. The food costs are very reasonable considering the amount of food you get. The in house made tortillas are the greatest and the drinks are absolutely satisfying. This is 100% Authentic Mexican Cuisine. I would recommend this place to any and everyone looking for Outstanding Mexican food and customer service!!! If I could rate this place 10 stars I would without hesitation. Great job La Hacienda Real.

The food was great and the people here were warm and inviting. Even though it was very busy they checked in often enough to refill drinks and see if everything was okay.I gave them 5 stars but overall it's more like 4.5. I understand that they were busy, but my order was incorrect.
Coming from Texas born and raised this place reminds me of home! The margs are always delicious but the enchiladas de cremas are top level good. 10/10
We were seated promptly and brought water, chips, salsa, beans, and curdito slaw within a minute. The service was great, and everyone was super friendly. The food was at our table very quickly. The portions are ridiculous. The handmade tortillas are so good. The food quality was really good. We can't wait to go back.
