Pretty brewery with a lot of out door area to hang out. Unfortunately they were crazy understaffed but we were able to get a beer while we waited to put our food order in. The staff was nice even though they were in short supply. My friend had a margarita which was very good and I had a few beers. The Mamba was very intriguing. Although none of thier beers blew me out of the water, all the ones I had were very good and cleanly made. The food was awesome. Worth visiting if you're in the Salem area.
Really had an enjoyable evening visiting with family in this spacious, open eatery. So many wonderful beers to choose from and they allow you to taste before you pick. Food is of high quality ingredients with an appetizing presentation. Not the fastest turnaround from ordering to eating, but it allowed us time to visit and we appreciated it. The pretzel breadsticks and beer cheese appetizer was most amazing. Our waitress was very attentive. A great place to eat, drink and be merry.
This restaurant has been a scenic & delicious spot for us during the pandemic. This is the only restaurant we've regularly visited, because we could invite friends to eat outdoors with us. The setting is gorgeous & rustic, both inside and out. You forget you're just off a busy road in an industrial park area in SE Salem! The back deck is covered & shaded and has LOTS of tables & seating available, both for small and large groups, as does the inside. Food and beer tasting flights are excellent!
We were meeting our son for dinner. Called ahead to make reservations, but we were told we didn't need them for 5pm. Arrived & hostess told us 25-35 minute wait time. There were open stools at the bar but she said we couldn't sit there & wait because the bartender was too busy?? She told us we could wait outside or stand by a small wall by the door. We eventually were seated, but horrible customer service - the food was OK. Disappointed because in the past we enjoyed eating there.....
Great food, seriously they make some awesome burgers, have a cool vibe to the place, and never seem to be rushing to get you out, or have music so loud you can't have a conversation. I've loved every meal I've had here.
Service was amazing, food was perfectly cooked/prepared and atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Was able to have drinks fireside until food was served. Seasonal Hard Cider selections lovely. Kids menu had good variety, the basics but solid proportions. Had to mark down one star due to floors being overly slick causing safety concerns as it seems common occurrence for patrons or staff to slip or fall.
We visited on a brewery tour back in 2014 and we have been returning anytime we are in the Salem area ever since! (pics are from several different visits!) Great service and great food! We especially like the outside seating area - nearby grounds have a park-like feeling. The beers are really good. For food, we stick with the burgers and sandwiches - never been disappointed. I would say the only negative is the parking - it is an odd-shaped lot and it can get busy and be hard to find a spot - especially if you drive a bigger vehicle. But it is worth the trouble - can't wait to visit again!
We’ve been here a handful of times, and the food is always delicious and the service is great! If you’re looking for a rustic place, where you want to sit back, relax, and sip on a beverage (I recommend their Hefeweizen), this is a place to try out! It’s especially nice to sit outside during the spring/summer. Lately, we’ve gotten take out, and this time we got their green bean appetizer, mac and cheese, and the heathen burger. The green beans are good, but it’s a large portion that can easily be split between 4-5 people. The mac and cheese is some of the best in town, although the sauce is not always consistent (sometimes it’s perfect cheesy and sometimes it’s a bit dry and underwhelming). Their burgers are quite good, and though I did enjoy the heathen burger, it’s a bit on the heavier side.
