We travelled 2 hrs, just to try this restaurant after hearing about it and reviewing their menu. Long time Oregonians, my friends and I relish the flavors of our parents south east cooking. Growing up with blue crabs, pickled relishes, hand made perogies, fritters and greens, we had not enjoyed such flavors as much until experiencing this restaurant. Every familiar ingredient was taken up several notches with a twist on flavors, while preserving it's origins. It is truly inspiring cuisine. Something you ask yourself while eating, how did they do that! Enjoying every bite. The menu offered something satisfying to each of us- gluten free, vegetarian, carnivore, without substitutions. The service was attentive, the space, though small is bright, airy, upbeat, relaxing. I felt the employees cared about our experience dining. A place we could linger and enjoy a social meal together, in a community cafe atmosphere. The wine list was something to learn from. We each agreed to make the drive again soon
We had breads and spreads, the chutney was out of this world, all of the bread was very tasty I had West Philly cheese steak, best outside of Philly. ( i used to go to training in Philadelphia often) Wife had the Crab cakes, and enjoyed them.
Salem is so lucky to have this gem in our community. The food is simply delicious. Creative, flavorful, and such good quality for the price paid. If you are looking for southern inspired dishes, Epilogue is dramatically better than Noble Wave in every way. In addition to the amazing food (I recommend the fried chicken sandwich served on the best biscuit you will ever taste) and the incredibly cute atmosphere, theSalem is so fortunate to have a restaurant that cares about the good of the larger community. Please keep in mind that any negative reviews posted here and elsewhere may be the work of racist trolls who have not actually dined at Epilogue.
Atmosphere is top notch.Service is friendly and welcoming.The biscuits were out of this world.That Philly was phenomenal.This place is a gem. The passion, creativity and flavors were so impressive.Can’t wait to come back and eat again.
My husband and I loved our date night at Epilogue! The food was amazing and the staff was incredibly kind. We love supporting this downtown spot! The owner is an incredible human that continues to be a light in our community.
My husband and I decided to stop by Epilogue today for a long overdue visit. While there the staff was incredible and made perfect drink recommendations (and I must say that the whiskey sour was in fact the best whiskey sour I have ever had!). Our starter of the parsnips was absolutely delicious and we loved the flavor of the mustard greens and garlic. We each order a sandwich, I got the Philly and he got a smash burger and both were on a GF waffle which is probably my new favorite way to have a gf sandwich EVER lol. We also ordered the oatmeal cookie and it was honestly the best oatmeal cookie I have ever had. Hands down the best meal we have had in salem to date. The staff was incredible and even though they were being barraged with hateful calls they handled them with grace and made sure their guest were well taken care of.
sooooo good! service was fast and friendly. the cocktails were seriously delicious! crab cakes had perfect flavor. the meat on the “west philadelphia” was so tender and yummy. I want to try everything on the menu!
Delicious! Epilogue is a restaurant I follow on IG and hanker for... a place to try every single thing on offer. Kind servers, creative food, and great presentation! Amazing place to have in our community, for sure! Super yum.
We had three amazing meals and a great appetizer at Epilogue in Salem! Absolutely delicious, finished every yummy bite! The server made thoughtful suggestions about food and drinks, which were perfect for the evening. Very friendly place, amazing food, we loved every minute! So grateful to have this restaurant in our community, you cannot find a better meal!
Their brunch is AMAZING. I love the breakfast cereal French toast. <3 Also, friendly staff and nice vibe. :-)
