This restaurant is tip top. Excellent fare, professional service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I’m the type of restaurant client that typically doesn’t go out much anymore because I can make better meals at home. Thus I’m typically underwhelmed, but DaVinci exceeded my expectations. Absolutely spot on. Somebody had the stones to rate it three stars. They should be stoned, medieval times style. Blasphemous.
Had a fantastic experience da Vinci restaurant! Everything looks so good I wanted to order one of everything on the menu. Our server Joshua was absolutely incredible! He made excellent suggestions, was so very personable he was even entertaining, I’ve gone back numerous times because the food is so good and the service is absolutely stellar! Whenever I go back I want to sit in Joshua section but all of the servers are really really wonderful! I had a halibut cheeks… Oh my!!! YUM! And all the appetizers were Delicious
We started off drinks, one of them was wrong and had to be sent back. That wasn't so bad, but then we ordered appetizers. The lobster appetizer was not served with the others and showed up with our dinner. We sent that back. The dinners were not hot when served and not up to the quality you would expect from an upscale restaurant. My lamb entree was $48 and was luke warm at best. Same with the veal that my wife ordered which was kind of chewy. This was our anniversary and it turned out to be a disappointment. Service was bad and the meal just wasn't worth the money. What more needs to be said.
Service, food & cocktails are always superb! We especially enjoy Friday and Saturday nights when Tommy plays piano.
Extraordinarily long wait for mediocre food and a very rude waitress. Awful experience. We will not be returning.
We came here for a Valentine's date, and the service and atmosphere were stellar. The Piersporter Riesling was impressive. I ordered the seafood pasta and I am thinking the pasta is made in the restaurant.
We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The table was by the front door so we very very cold. The service was poor. It took 15 minutes to see our server. The hostess finally took our drink order. Our drinks finally arrived after we had eaten half of our appetizers. The food was good. The piano player was stellar! Would try this restaurant again and hope for better service. And when we make a reservation ask to not be seated by the front door.
Me boyfriend and I are 16, if that gives any preface for you. We went here for our 2 year anniversary, because neither of us have been to a “fancy” place to eat. The service was nice, but I felt like the waiters were nearly robots! The food was absolutely horrible to us, but that’s on us. I ordered a pear salad and the cheese it came with tasted like how a cow pasture smells, but I am not custom to fancy cheese. My boyfriend ordered some honey ham with green beans and it came with mint??? All in all, it was good, but if you’re not into super fancy places, I wouldn’t suggest coming here!
My girlfriend and I visited for the first time tonight and had an excellent experience. The wagyu tartare was our favorite dish. Our server Rob was friendly and very accommodating to our gluten free needs. The bartender Joseph is highly skilled and knowledgeable. You can tell the staff takes pride in their work. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in downtown salem.
This place is no longer known as DaVinci's but is now masonry grill. We went here the food was not too bad the service was okay. But I'm not sure we will be back. They charge you to park in their parking lot but signage is not very clear about this. A private company is hired to patrol the lot and we ended up with a $42 parking ticket which is significantly more than what the City of Salem would charge for a similar violation. And, no way to appeal the violation either. So it feels a little bit like a cash cow. As I said the food and service were all right but this left the wrong vibe with us so probably won't be back for a while.
