Really good food and service. Portion sizes were reasonable, not large or small. We ate our meal and felt comfortable. We had clams and mussels and burrata with prosciutto and both were great, the burrata was better for sure. She had a Margherita pizza which was great for what it was. I had the the chicken parm and it was great, once again not the typical chicken parm super heavy, large portion, but reasonable and great tasting. Overall, would most certainly go back.
New to the neighborhood and my wife and I were looking forward to coming in for some pizza and wine, but disappointed to be turned away at 8:09 pm, only for the hostess to let us know that they were closing early (after asking the chef if we could be served). Not a great first impression to say the least. Would love to give it another shot, but will definitely call ahead to find out if they plan to close early.
The service was weak. They didn’t ask how the food was. They were way too slow to take drink orders. The app was ok… not great. I can make better food at home. The food was ok at best. Eating out should be special. This was not a meal that I would suggest to others. I did not feel welcome at Christo’s I won’t return. Wasted 142.00 dollars… the servers lack luster. They are the face of the business. It’s a sad face. Spend your money elsewhere.
Unfortunately I couldn’t negatively rate this restaurant but it doesn’t even deserve this one star. My boyfriend, kids and I waited 1 hr and 30 min only to receive under cooked bloody & cold chicken and oily fettuccine noodles. There was no excuse at we had reservations at 7:20pm and didn’t receive our inedible food until 9pm. Not only that, but there was so many tables open because the restaurant closes at 8:30pm?! The wait staff stood around talking, texting on their phones and gave the worst quality service and food ever. I will inform others as this food service is unacceptable and I be monitoring my health as I feel sick after those first few bites.
Do not order take out from here!!!! Ordered two hours ahead for a set time, still had to wait 30 minutes in their waiting area. Food was super cold, and the pizza tasted extremely different from usual. Had a pretty good experience dining in but take-out made me feel like I completely wasted my money.
Good food and service. One issue was I called to make a reservation and the hostess did NOT write the name down. It is a bit pricey!
Not your typical pizza place. This place has AMAZING steak!!! The pizza is great too. The service is impecable and the Chef, Ryan, even came out to thank us for the compliment! Another steak house in Salem is very good and has a larger variety of cuts but doesn't come close in delivering like Christo's!!! The outside of the steak is crispy and the inside melts in your mouth! Choice of steak topping as well. When I crave steak, it's Christo's!!! The fries are a creative delicousness that you won't find anywhere else.
This is the most overrated place i’ve ever wasted $40, im so sorry the workers seemed so nice the ambiance was cute but the food is just very very poor. Pizza was frozen cold, breadsticks were cold and so hard i couldnt bite through them, and there was like 5 pieces of chicken to the alfredo meal. Ive never ever been so disappointed especially since i’d heard amazing things :(
We love coming here! The live music and atmosphere is a true gem here in Salem. Catch the live music if you can, the cover charge is always reasonable.
Love the uniqueness of this place. It's got a style that is second to none. I know it's ARTISAN pizza but if you could crisp it up just a tad more. Or I guess I could order it well done? But love that Magarita Pizza
