At first I thought lunch combo with egg roll being $2 more was ridiculous, but I’m really craving one and reviews have left me wanting to try this place. #NOREGRETS, since egg roll was comparable to hotdog.-egg foo young + bbq pork fried rice was bomb (lucky garden’s wasn’t as good to me as it used to be when I went more pre-Covid/Chen’s Family dish was too clean/lacking flavor for me ?).Lastly server was pleasant to pick food up from, and I’ll come again.
The woman who served us today was terrible! My previous rating is five stars the food here is absolutely delicious however, today there was a gnat in the food. She picked it out in front of us unapologetic. Then she proceeded to the kitchen, to talk about our complaint, in ear shot as she belittled us. Today was the worst customer service experience in a restaurant I believe I've ever had. When my fiance said something to her she said it's not even fly season and tried to defend the fact that there was a fly in our food. The owner of the establishment should revisit the staff they choose to represent the business they operate.
BBQ pork was really dry and my sesame chicken didn't come with sauce on it. I like golden dragon's better & the make there sauce better.
The amount of food you get ensures leftovers for later, unless you're against leftovers in which case: good luck. This restaurant has been around Salem for decades. The cost is certainly fair for the amount of food you get. All-around good.
This place is pretty good I've been going there for the last 15 years me and my grandmother used to go eat there I don't ever remember a bad experience or a dish that we did not like not to mention the the lady at the cash register she went out of her way to help me figure out what to order and how much of it she was very friendly this is in my top five favorite restaurants in town try there egg rolls you won't be disappointed.
Highly recommend the Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken combo plate. Hefty serving and reasonably priced.
My Kung Pao chicken lasted four meals, and was very tasty. The potstickers we had for appetizers were very good too.
Arrived to try Chinns food for the first time today. 4 middle aged people walked in ahead of me with no mask, the Woman that opened the door to let us in was not wearing a mask. Before I ordered I asked her why she was letting people in without a mask she snapped back at me “I just opened I haven’t had time to put one on”. What I’ve decided during this pandemic is to give money to businesses that create a safe environment for their employees and customers not a business like Chinns.
Good food, but the best part is the price -- very reasonable when you get the specials. Always more than enough to eat.
