Food is always delicious here. However, on my most recent visit the place was way too hot inside. I had to get to-go boxes because I couldn't eat most of my food in the restaurant due to the heat. This was the first time it ever happened but I think I may have endured heat exhaustion or worse. So definitely do not dine in here on an even mildly warm day, but get it to go instead.
Prompt and Courteous staff. Speedy service times, Large portions and good prices. And of course, great tasting "American style" Chinese food! This locally owned resturant is a gem.A great place to bring the family to at a reasonable price!Bar/lotto lounge in the back.LGBTQI+ friendly
This place has to be under new ownership. I ordered pork fried rice the rice had no vegetables and they sprinkled 6 tiny dots of chopped pork smaller thandiced onions on top.The shrimp and chicken were fried in The same batter and looked like grotesque swollen jigsaw puzzle pieces then drenched in the orange sauce. My friend ordered the special which included some burnt clumpy noodles and more of the grotesque puzzle chicken drenched in orange sauce. And a spring roll that looked like it had seen many winters I left the food on the plate I could not eat that mess.
This place was highly recommended by my son and his girlfriend, so we came here on Friday 2021-12-31 and placed a large order for a small New Year's Eve get-together. I have never dined in here, so I cannot speak to that experience at this time.We ordered pepper salted chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried shrimp, fried rice, General Tso's chicken, egg foo yung, and Lo Mein. We enjoyed everything, except for the egg foo yung, which seemed to lack flavor. Even dousing it in the included sauce just made it very salty. The pepper salted chicken is one of the best versions that we have ever had. The flavor was amazing, and there was an appropriate amount of scallions and onions with every bite.Customer Service was excellent! This restaurant does not skimp on its portions. They also provided egg flower soup and additional fried rice at no extra charge, which I truly appreciated. We definitely will return.

I've always enjoyed their food; the shrimp is always fresh. Yesterday, I was charged for three takeout boxes which hadn't happened before. when I asked the gentleman who had been waiting on us about it he seemed to be like, "Oh, it's a thing". They were 25 cents each and when we asked for takeout boxes he didn't say there would be a charge. Weird.
Blue Willow is now like every other boring Chinese restaurant. My family has been coming here for 20+ Years. We miss Jenny and everyone else. Recipe has changed, prices are x2 and get less food… moved back home from Texas and was very disappointed when i ordered the Old TV Special… can taste nothing but sugar in the breading of the chicken for the sweet and sour chicken. Got literally 4 pieces and that was it. Paid $10 for BBQ pork which used to be $5 and after paying $10 i got the SMALLEST box of BBQ Pork. Like damn… $10 for like 6-7 pieces. When i called to ask why i got so very little food when i spent $30+ and all i was told was “That’s how we do it now”.
Food is pretty standard but still yummy staff are nice and overall I will go back
Got the pork chow mein, hella soupy. Also tasted funny. Also got the egg foo Yung (I can't spell lol) friend got the beef noodles. ? Delicious ?. Over all I think a 3 star rating fits this place.
I have been eating here for years. It is good food. If your looking to maximize your portion size this is the place. The ambiance sets you right into a mesh of the late 70s, early eighties. The service here is standard, never too long a wait, basic needs met. What they lack in visual charm is made up for with price and quality.
