I stopped by here today to try a donut, and had a wonderful old-fashioned. Highly recommend!
"Bearscat" pretty much sums up the service, the wares and the coffee, one bite of a "donut" was almost enough to leave immediately but my partner also dared venture the coffee with a sip she spat straight out. $5 for nothing other than to warn fellow travellers to steer clear. Not a fan of Starbucks but a couple blocks there's one and the quality is definitely better.
This place has the best donuts in town! I love going to the bakery with my family. They have a crazy selection of donuts and the customer service is top tier !
While this is our favorite donut shop in Salem it is not my favorite donut shop ever. There are some donuts, like their Bearscat, that are amazing. However, the last three times I've been in they didn't have the Bearscats even though that's the name of the shop. There are other amazing donuts there but they are interspersed with overly glazed overly sugared gut bombs, so find your favorite. Lastly, they have no creamer for their coffee which in and of itself is not that good either. I like good coffee with my donut and in this case I have to go down the street to the Starbucks in order to get a halfway decent cup to go with my donut.
Their doughnuts were so dry and tough. I have a hard time believing they were fresh. The old fashioned tasted like dry hard play dough. It was terrible! I love doughnuts but I couldn’t stomach these. In the garbage they went. Really disappointed.
I have no idea how this place stays afloat.The cake donuts are brick heavy and super dry. Everything is sugar taisting but no real flavors and the "custard" filling...vanilla pudding.Even day night I better
Best donuts in town! So yummy and awesome customer service. Definitely will be back. Salem needed this gem!! Also the Oreo donut is the best ?
When you run a business in a state capital just a little service attitude would go a long way. You will find none here. Coffee tasts like the cheapest that could be bought. "0" flavor, when our family inquired about a specific item we were told they couldn't be made because owner was having a baby. Warm sour creamer...go somewhere else.
I pre ordered at 3am; 4 cinnamon twists & 4 sugar donuts to be pick up at 2:15pm.They didn’t have my sugar donuts and this is the 2nd time months apart that they don’t have my cinnamon twists. Employee wanted me to pick different donuts, she said they open at 6am and all their sugar donuts got sold… but I pre order at 3am, why weren’t my set aside? I asked for a refund for all 8 donuts. I had to correct employee about my refunded money. Will say employee was friendly.
Stopped in to get donuts for my school staff. Great selection, friendly employees, and the teachers loved the donuts!
