Interesting place, we stopped here when we’re passing through as I read the cocktails were great. Upon arrival place didn’t even seem open, the open sign wasn’t on and it was dark and cold inside. Owner seemed very overwhelmed as he was the bartender and only waiter in the entire place. Service was slow! We ordered a glass of wine after a cocktail and he forgot and brought us another round of cocktails instead. Food was ok not the best especially for the price. This place seems very understaffed. This place has potential but definitely won’t be back. Way overpriced for the service and food that is provided, staff wasn’t even dressed nice. Find something better folks, this place isn’t worth eating at.
On Friday night, we stopped by for a drink and snack ahead of a show at the next door Elsinore theatre. The staff accommodated our timeline beautifully. I had a lovely glass of Malbec, the caprese salad was fantastic. My friend was able to order a vegan pasta dish that she really enjoyed. We’ll be back!
Had a nice dinner for Valentine's Day. The lasagna was fantastic! The bar itself has a cozy club-like atmosphere, with a very extensive wine list, though the by-the-glass options are a bit scarce. The bartender was skilled and knowledgeable of a lot of "fancier" cocktails (Aviation, French Quarter, Old-fashioned, etc.) and kept his cool during the busy holiday evening. It was a very pleasant experience!
I wanted to try something new with my friend and we were both very impressed. The service was amazing. The gentleman working the bar was by himself, but he made it to ever table in a timely manner. The drinks were great but the food was outstanding. I haven’t had charcuterie since my time in Italy. It was really nostalgic. BEST CRAB CAKES EVER! Plentiful amount of crab meat, and the cake itself was not too flour-y (new word?). In other words, it was lightly breaded, the way it should be. They also have an extensive wine list and other cocktails to choose from. Lastly, the pace of the food and drinks coming out was well paced. It wasn’t too long nor did it all come out all at once. This is something that is hard to find in restaurants nowadays. This place is a must! Absolutely amazing and worth ever penny!
disappointing! Walked in....sat at the bar.....bartender (we figured) gave us menus and we never saw her again. Bartender finally showed up but new NOTHING about their wine list. Your bet is as good as mine he said.Ok.....then he brought a bottle of wine which the chef recommended. It was pretty good after we asked for it to be decanted. Ok took about 20 more minutes for him to take our order. We started with 2 appetizers.The resturant had people coming and going all night and we realized there were only 2 people running the resturant , a bartender and a waitress. The bartender told us there were only 2 people in the kitchen.People were walking in and walking out still as we finished our appetizers and eventually our wine.Still no one ever came to see how we were doing and our plates were empty and we had already finished a bottle of wine.But.....we were still planning on ordering entrees.Finally we did and still the bartender wasn't interested in asking if we wanted anything else to drink.Now that the dinner rush is beginning to end, this bartender was more interested in doing his clean up and probably getting out of there so there was NO attention on us. After sitting there for over an hour with NOTHING to drink or eat we asked for the bill. The bartender said your dinner will be out soon, do you want it to go??OMG.....don't go here......SERVICE SUCKS and we were so patient with them! Just knowing they were trying. But..... not worth the frustration!!Don't Go......So Disappointing!?
Didn’t have any food but grabbed some drinks at the bar with my wife. Great selection and very good staff. Loved the atmosphere.
I went here on my Birthday. We were the only ones in the joint but it was a great evening! The food was delicious. The service was amazing! The atmosphere even though only ones there was great! It had a fancy, yet trendy casual feel to it. You wouldn't feel out of place wearing carharts and flannel or a dress and heels. It was great! FUn feel to it as well.
Stopped for a bite to eat on a Saturday evening. The place was busy and the bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed. They had a reasonably extensive wine list. Ordered a glass of Sangiovese but received a glass of Scaia corvina. Not sure the bartender even realized the difference. The stuffed sweet peppers were good but I did not get any bread with them. Requested it and finally received it when the peppers were cold. Understaffed. Need more wait staff.
Service was timely and friendly. Food was very good and an excellent price point for the quality. Our table's entree's were the Pork Oscar, Tenderloin and Lamb Shank. All were very good but the lamb shank was exceptional. Delicious and fork tender. The Dark chocolate "Pots de creme" dessert was outstanding. However, if you love a rich traditional carbonara you may find their take on it a bit lacking in richness and flavor. We will return.
Amazing food, everything came in hot and delicious. There was a little bit of a wait but we didn’t mind - Just sitting and catching up with girlfriends was nice. Drinks were great and they have the best tiramisu❤️❤️
