Terrible service. Sure the girls are busy but completely ignored the orders you force people to use with your awful menu QR. kitchen I guess decided at 6 to close after I ordered my dinner. I will never come back to this place. Complete failure you should look in to something you’re passionate about.
Carne Asada Street Tacos and Cider were very good, nice atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating
Order placed at bar; Friends w/ whom I was dining ordered after me, got their meals delivered to our table, finished eating, and Still ... I did not have my food order. I went back to the bar (because the Only time an employee comes to the table is to set down the food) to ask, please, where was my order. Young lady (there were four employees behind the bar) said "we just got slammed, your order will be done it's ready ready. It takes time."That's it. Basically I ft like they already got paid so it's no biggie that I was waiting and waiting and waiting ...W.H.Y. did I leave a 15% tip???Finally my food arrived! The food is excellent, no complaints about that, they do an excellent job.But ... the service, really it is non existent. There is No service at this establishment. No one ever checks to see if everything is good, do you need anything? Nope! I had to go to the kitchen myself to get a to go box for my leftovers. When you go out to dinner with friends, is it too much to expect everyone in the dining party will get the meal they ordered (and paid for Before it is served), or at the very least in close proximity to each dish being delivered to the table?
Tried to go twice, quite some time apart. First time, sat and waited for about 5 to 10 minutes with no show of a server or any service (we did wave at a staff member as we were walking up and they did see us). Walked inside and waited, again. About 5 minutes, ask for a menu and was inform the kitchen was closed. Second time went back, kitchen closed again... A lot of good tap houses around, not sure how they're going to make it if the service and restaurant portion isn't consistently on point.
Been in the restaurant industry a while. Overall people are positive but sat at the bar, bartenders were more worried about talking to each other rather than checking in with clients excluding the guy who was working the bar with curly hair in a top knot. He was checking in with people but also mostly talking to other bartenders. You get tips for interacting. Get that money. Tortilla chips were solid
I was excited to check out b2 for the first time. Skimmed the online menu and taplist, they seemed enthusiastic, which I like. I called to ask if they had dog friendly outdoor seating, they said yes. I showed up at opening, tied my dog up out side, sat for a few minutes, nobody came out. I figured I had to order inside. I went in, there we 3 people working, 1 was obviously training a new employee, they were taking orders, the third was getting drinks. There were a few people in front of me and I didn't want to leave my dog outside for a while (the new employee was obviously slow). I looked for a menu to take outside so I could figure out what I wanted... Didn't see one. I went back outside and overly optimistically waited for someone to come greet me..... I waited 8 minutes or so and then left.It seems like a nice place, the employees seemed nice, I liked the outdoor seating area. I know training can be tough, it's possible they also had a sick call or two, but they were understaffed to the point of having customers walk away.
Went in for dinner one night with my family and my mother-in-law ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and soup and paid up at the counter. Then when we had all gotten our food they came out and told her that they did not have any more soup left and asked if she wanted french fries with her grilled cheese instead and she said no. When we went to leave we asked about getting her money back and they told us that we could have a free cookie or pint. They wouldn't and didn't give our money back. I have never been to any restaurant that has done that before. I don't know if we will come back here for food.
Not one to usually take photos of food, but then these fish and chips came out i was super impressed with the presentation. As if that was not great, the fish was perfectly battered. A light crust that had a wonderful crisp but not overdone layer. The fish beneath was flakely and simply melted in my mouth. The chips were home made and tasted amazing. I wish this could be a regular item on the menu, but it was only the special. Keep up the good work all.
Food is good and a great selection of beer. I love the outside. Very friendly staff as well
Open concept taphouse & restaurant with solid house beers & a strong guest tap list. Excellent selection of canned & bottled craft beers to take away or drink on site. Wine, cocktails, and a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks are available as well. Food is higher-end bar food, and they usually have an off-menu special going.Seating is separated into bar & restaurant sides. There's also a great covered outside seating area with a fire pit, along with some uncovered outside seating options in the nicer months.Family friendly, as well as pet friendly (outside only for the pets though).Definitely one of the better options for beer and/or food in Salem.
